Surely that time will be revised as it is based on a 6pm ko?
I saw that too and thought the same. Sure it will.

Didn't notice that so suppose you're right.  They usually do leave quite early though.

to be honest they will still probably leave at that time Andy, the SOS coach always leaves early to ensure plenty of drinking time . :)

I qualify for this from last year but really confused on how to get there and back (south Cheshire way).

Hardly got any holidays left at work and not allowed another early dart so soon after I played my 'get out of work early card' for our recent 6pm kick off.

Can get there easy on a train but there's literally no trains after the game (Crewe being the easiest for me) so can't see any other option than driving - especially if there is ET/Pens/Lock in but driving will take forever at that time of night.

Anyone got any clue on how to do this? I've seen a few say park at Altrincham and get a tram but can you get back to Altrincham easily enough?
Or park around the cricket ground?

Not sure I fancy the walk from OT to tram stop unless there's loads of our reds going that way?

For the online sales is it just the usual 90p booking fee?

Bump!

There's no mention of online postage.

Can't advise on parking at Altrincham as never done it.  But we always get the metro after the match.  You'll be fine provided you're not in colours and have put your scarf away.  There will be less of a queue for the Altrincham direction, altho still busy, as most will be going the other way into manchester.  I'd walk up to the trafford bar stop rather than old trafford stop, as earlier on the line when you're going in altrincham direction.

As the lad above suggests that's one way. Alternatively, there's a car park in the shopping precinct by the Lowry (think's it's free if you buy in the shops there and get ticket stamped - couldn't swear to this tho'). About 10/15 min walk over the footbridge - just don't show colours. I've done this before and the traffic's not too bad, as when you get to the lights at roundabout near the M602, there's a left filter lane with most traffic going the other way into Manchester.

Nice one thanks. I think I've just arranged a lift home from Altrincham now so as long as I can get there after the game I'll be sorted with those instructions thanks but now poses a question about getting there via train.

Looks like I can get into Piccadilly for 7:00pm or more likely 7:15pm. Then not sure which is best either train or tram from there to the ground - OK for time or chaos at that time?

Nice one thanks. Looks like a few options then either that train or tram.

Anyone done the Piccadilly to OT on an evening game reckon train arriving 7:15pm is good enough to get into the stadium on time?

Should be if your quick about it. Takes about 15 mins on tram then 10/15 walk.

Personally I'd get a taxi.  Whilst I suggested you'd be fine getting tram to altrincham after the game, it's a different matter getting tram between Manchester and old Trafford. Did it once and never again. Absolutely packed with Manc supporters singing crude and explicit songs, even in front of ordinary shoppers with their kids.  For the extra cost, I'd get a taxi at Piccadilly, you may even find some others on your train to share with.

i watched the chelsea game at my sisters. her 12 year old son is severly autistic and i forgot myself and jumped up screaming at the goal and he went nuts. screaming and shouting. scared the fuck out of me. apologised to my sister as i thought id upset him, turns out he was joining in.

Euro aways are usually special delivery as continental clubs don't (as a rule) do dupes, so special delivery reduces the chance of the tickets going missing.

As the mancs do dupes it isn't so much of an issue.

In theory (e.g. when we've played Chelsea), no.  In practice, yes.

Although of course you can't go in the Fergie Stand block if you've bought Scoreboard end, and vice versa.
