Few people have reported issues with phoenix. suppose it's to be expected as it's still very much a work in progress.
Try the following addons :
990.ro
Icefilms
Genesis
Navi-x

Regarding icefilms, if you're with BT they have blocked access to icefilms website ( not sure if any other UK ISPS have followed suit yet) so once you install that addon, right click it select settings.
When the box opens up you need to scroll all the way along to the right, when you see the url, change http://www.icefilms.info to http://ipv6.icefilms.info

I have had my android box for 2 months so still trying to find my way around it, not found Sky1, Atlantic etc yet, seen the Syfy channels and MTV.

They probably in GoTV of Entertainment Hub.

Been bought an "android box" for the TV for Christmas with this installed on it. Had a play round with it and watched a few films seems pretty good. Anyone give me a bit of a beginners guide as I don't really know what I am doing at the minute. Best place to stream footy?

Cheers!

Good little read that thanks. Can I do all this xbmc stuff on my PC or should I use a andriod box ideally?

If you've got a PC or laptop download Kodi (the new name for xbmc). You should also be able to find a programme called TVMC that'll set it all up for you. If not there's loads of guides on YouTube.
Something like Genesis or 1Channel (but there's loads of others) will have you streaming all the latest films or shows as well as all the classics. Tvaddons forum or here if you get stuck.

Happy 2015.

You dont need to download kodi AND tvmc. They're seperate versions of the same thing.
tvmc is just a preconfigured version of kodi with addons and stuff preloaded.

There are loads. My favourites though are icefilms, 990.ro and genesis.
If you're in the UK though you'll need to change the icefilms addon settings to get around the ISP block.

Once you've installed the icefilms addon. Right click on it in your addon list.
Select addon settings.
Scroll all the way along the tabs to the right until you come to the url.
change http://www.icefilms.info to http://ipv6.icefilms.info

Which repo is the 999.ro add-on in mate?

It's in the krysty repo mate.
I use total installer to install most addons. Thats got every addon that was ever released for xbmc. Search for an addon in total installer and it automatically downloads the required repos etc.

Scroll along to system>file manager>add source.
In the top box put http;//i.totalxbmc.tv
In the bottom box just name it .totalxbmc and save it.
Then go to system>addons>install from zip file
Navigate to .totalxbmc and install the total installer repo.
Once thats installed just go to programs>total installer and search for whatever addon you want.

Brilliant, thank you - will add that when I get home. Does it have a graphical user interface like the Fusion add-on installer does, or is it a long list that you access through the add-on option in SETTINGS?

Awesome, thank you - last question! Does it have historical add-ons that developers have removed from their repos?

I have been trying to track down GOtv and GOmovies (find them faster than Genesis), but lambda has taken them out of his repo.

just did a quick search and they appear yeah. In the info tab though both say 'broken' & wont install
