Anyone comparing Rodger's lineup to Kenny's 3-5-2 is out of this world.
To make this formation work you need a) midfield runners - we had Lucas sitting, Gerrard linking up play/supporting attacks, and Meireles and Maxi running behind their defence. Today it's Allen deep, Gerrard deep, and Sahin is anything but a midfield runner.
b) u need centre forward. Assuming this set-up is similar to Anzi one then it's Suarez and Sterling playing wide.
It's a complete mess imo. Funny thing is with 4-3-3 our fullbacks are extremely attacking but with 3CB's they tend to be too conservative as it was the case against Anzi. Let's hope we park the bus well, Jones has a great game and Suarez does something special again..
