Brentford hyping up Toney's return while he is telling everyone he wants to go to a bigger club is pretty weird to watch.

Also he'll be coming back from a ban for betting offenses, and be a big advert for betting companies.
He has come off looking like an absolute twat out of all of this and no one seems to give a toss. Very weird to watch to be honest

Look how Cantona was treated on his return by United fans. Or Suarez by us. Ultimately Brentford need him and his goals given. How their season is gone so they’re going to be relieved he’s back. He needs to play well and score goals again if he is going to get the move he wants in the summer (they won’t sell him in January).

They’re used to selling their best players and generally they leave on good terms. Might make them see a bit soft, but it’s just how it is.

They’ve been watching Maupay, Lewis-Potter, Wissa and others huff and puff trying to score goals. Course they’re going to be pleased he’s back. He could probably show more contrition but that’s most modern day footballers for you.

I reckon this could be Hodgson’s last game for Palace. Especially if they concede a silly amount.

See Tierney is the ref.

I predict an early yellow for a Palace, to clamp down on any rough play.

Just like he'd never do in a million years at Anfield.

Another shithouse setup from the Hodge, a back five with wingbacks that get nosebleeds past the halfway line and three defensive midfielders.

it was actually quite blatant looking from one angle!

Reckon Palace players know this is the end of Hodgson. They’ll concede a few and then be ready for a new manager tomorrow.

it was a foul.  Reasonably sure you can’t have both your arms around a players neck to help get height to head a ball!

It was the lack of reaction that was mad, a team of players who simply don’t give a shit.  Arsenal got a gift, not that it’ll be hard for them to beat this palace team.

Oh yeah deffo a foul - VAR looked at it, yet somehow they didn't see anything. A couple put their hands up, but yeah most were very accepting of it

Certainly looks like Papace and Hodgson are playing out time until the end of the season and will then part ways, unless they're in absolute relegation peril.

What an uninspiring appointment this has been (again).

50/50...not a chance VAR would overall it.  It's not like he was gripping onto Richards, it was more a draping over him.

Would have loved them to over turn it, but nothing definitive or obvious to do so.
