Brandt is actually good he'd just be nowhere near as effective as Salah has been
He is, he just wouldn't have scored even half the goals Salah has scored and who knows where Liverpool would have been without those. It was one of those huge closed doors opened windows moments in football history.

Haha it has been fucking cruel with the guys Liverpool miss due to circumstances/whatever and then go for instead. Gotze, Brandt instead of Salah, Caicedo, Mount. Grim.

Like Dim Glass says, we wouldn't know how a player we didn't sign would've turned out for us (Caicedo would have been a good signing I think, but obviously not £110m good) but there's little element of luck sometimes but mainly having a coaching team with a plan and everyone at the club working well together, which we've not always had.

I feel like all plans went out the window with the Caicedo bid.

Yeah I know Caicedo wouldn't look half the donkey he looks at this shit Chelsea team at Liverpool, he would still be average enough that nobody on here would prob be satisfied with spunking the fee on him but he'd look OK at least. Just like Endo would probably look like a competition winner at Chelsea but looks just about OK at Liverpool.

cant keep up with these cup formats. Is the winner go through to next round?

Would be a weird format if the loser went through.
