Mr Boat was certain his audition went really well, but BRdispatch05 and his choreographer looked on totally unimpressed.

Because we just edited Borini's song for Balotelli.

Sturridge also has a really awkward name to make a song too

Right. People keep saying this, yet it is never sung properly at Anfield. So basically he has none

Daniel Sturridge, na na na na na na na. It's hard to convey the tune on a forum but it's the same as the song we had for Patrick Berger. The other one is clap clap, clap clap clap, clap clap clap clap Sturridge, which to be fair we seem to use for most strikers.

Right. People keep saying this, yet it is never sung properly at Anfield. So basically he has none

It was sung less than 24 hours ago.

Torres tune

He scores a goal he has a dance
Sturridge Sturridge

He scores a goal he has a dance
Sturridge Sturridge

He scores a goal he has a dance, he only needs half a chance
Daniel Sturridge Liverpools number... fifteen
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

Perhaps an adaption of the Torres song?

Replacing Torres, Torres with Sturridge, Sturridge would work. And the end would work - Daniel Sturridge Liverpool's...

I'll let you proper lyricists work out the rest :P

Ladies and Gentlemen – from Mambo no 5

A little bit of Daniel on the right, a little bit of Raheem by his side...
Phillippe magic’s what we need, a little bit of Mario’s what we’ll see…
Jordan Hendo runs it all, he'll put Lallana on the ball…
Moreno and Ibe go down the line, and to all of that…. add Emre Can

To the tune of Hard Day's Night:

His name is Daaaaniel Sturr-idge
And he's been scoring--lots of goals
His name is Daaaaniel Sturr-idge
And he'll be scoring--many more

And when he gets on the ball,
You know he'll take on you all
He makes us feel alright

When we're hoooome,
Scoring goals left and right
On the rooooad,
Making defenders look shite, shite, yeah!

His name is... (repeat)
"Man, you can't just play football.  You've got to have the sway."

No greater accolade for a Liverpool forward.

Maybe one day after being part of something glorious, (I'm a glass is half full kind of person,) he can be in part of a verse of a song like Rush in Poor Scouser Tommy but until then if it's good enough for the King....

I was always suprised that he got the Berger song. Think it makes much more sense to go with Daniel Sturridge scores the goals, hallelujah. Particularly in light of the fact that goals have been such a problem recently.

He can dance when he wants to
Leave defenders far behind
With a turn of pace
A shot in space
Danny leads our forward line

He can dance, he can dance
Everytime he scores a goal

He can dance, he can dance
Everytime he gets the ball

He can dance, he can dance
Everytime he gets a chance

He can dance, he can dance
Dance like only Danny can

<repeat>

To the tune of Safety Dance.
Look down, look down, you'll always be a slave.

27 pages in and still nothing. We would probably all agree that the Torres chant was one of the best we've ever had. Why can we not us the same tune for a Sturridge song? It fits perfect!

I think if you were going to do that something like.

We brought him over from the bridge, Sturridge, Sturridge,
He makes defenders arses twitch, Sturridge, Sturridge.
He twists and turns, he takes his chance,
And when he scores he'll do the dance.
Daniel Sturridge clinical every time.

But I would argue it's too soon to rewrite the Torres song.

Do these songs ever get sung?

I don't get to Anfield often anymore, but I cant say I have ever really heard songs sung bar the obvious Steee Gerrard and Suarez one
