Best player on the pitch today, should be in the first team week in week out now, no excuses.

£8m? Daylight robbery. £50m for Danilo and we get this last for £8m. MoTM today. Solid defensively and good going forward.

Hope he's playing Champions League in the home leg against Hoffenheim, he looked very assured.

Deserves to stay in the starting eleven for me based on how well he played today.

He was excellent, looks a very shrewd bit of business by the club to get him for the money we paid.

Must admit I wasn't that excited when we signed him. If today's performance is anything to go by he's going to well for us. Should be starting ahead of Moreno imo.

Can't remember the last full back who have put those types of crosses in. Didn't have much to defensively but what he did have he did well.

No two footed tackles or Kung fu kicks in sight, never got the wrong side. He needs a run of games now.

Good debut. Very positive, his balls forward didn't always find their mark but love the positivity. Excellent left foot and great positional awareness. Going to be a good player to have.

Let's not exaggerate. He's good, but he isn't world class going forwards or anything. But a solid and worthy upgrade on his predecessors in that position.

As I expected, think he's going to be a really decent player for us. Just so much calmer than most of what we've had at the back in recent years and a lovely delivery on him too.

What does a world class attacking full back look like? He should have had two assists if it wasn't for our bad finishing.

Did you even read what he put?! I don't see a mention of world class anywhere. Comparing to Danilo is pointless though, he's shit and Madrid couldn't wait to see the back of him.

I liked how much closer to the byline he was when crossing than our full backs usually are

Right near the end of the game, Palace played a ball forward for their right-back to get forward which was just out of Robertson's reach. Moreno would've dived in and left the flank exposed but Robertston stayed on his feet, caught up with the player and made the block for the ball to go out of play. A very solid debut.

Very impressive today, some were questioning why we were buying a player from Hull earlier in the season, but looks like it's a very good deal for us so far!

Thought the positions he took up was more impressive than his crossing. That bodes well for our combination play once we get Coutinho back and they link up with Mane.

He looked a bit nervous at first but that's understandable. Quickly got over it and put over some cracking crosses which Mane and Matip should've scored from. He didn't really have much to do defensively today.

Great debut from the lad. Reminded a little of Finnan in that he does what he's supposed to do. No nonsense in defence and the ability to get down the pitch when the opportunity arises.

Top signing.

A textbook example of why people shouldn't judge a player by his price tag or club. I said in the transfer threads that I'd more than happy signing him based off what I saw when he played for Hull. Looks a solid buy

A perfect balance of fullback who knows how to make runs, link up going forward but also defend. He doesn't have to be world class, as long as he plays like that, he will be immense

His great crosses are a bit wasted with the attack we started with today. He would have been great with benteke. Maybe Solanke could convert them.
His defense was a bit suspicious, but overall a great debut.

Was very good today, has to have earned his place for Wednesday. I was actually quite impressed with his decision making today, which is rare for a Liverpool LB. Remains to be seen how he'll play against a team actually wanting to play football but promising signs!

I remember raving here on moreno and manquilo after initial games. I expect moreno to start on wednesday. He is needed for the counter attacks

would be crazy not to start him midweek

from what we have seen he offers as much threat going forward as moreno and defensively sound

I'll be surprised if he does, Klopp will have these things mapped out and Moreno will come back in.
