Very impressive from A Plus Tard. Also thought Bravemansgame did it well earlier

Was worried about him because he’d never won first time up and De Bromhead isn’t renowned for having them ripping fit for their reappearance. I’m not sure he’s actually beat much but the time was rapid albeit on lovely ground and 22 lengths is 22 lengths when all said and done. A few nice performances; cracking to see Lostintranslation isn’t just a handicapper these days and Bob Olinger won easy despite not looking a natural first time up. Buzz is one on the up and the potential fly in the stayers hurdle oitment.

Jonbon runs today at Newbury. A lot of hype surrounds him but he's drifting like a barge.

Surprised Henderson hasn’t just sent him for a racecourse gallop to have him ready to run in about 2024.

Noticed this morning he’s gone from 4/6 to odds against. Wonder if it’s just a concern about the ground, and Henderson hasn’t been able to work most of his horses properly.

As you say been hyped as a brother to Douvan, so been looking forward to seeing him

Very impressed with that. Seriously neat and quick over his hurdles for a debut and there were a few half decent ones in behind.

Latest Exhibition went wrong on the final bend in the Hattons Grace. Was horrible to see. Honeysuckle was brilliant again but urgh poor horse and sad for connections

Nice one for mentioning Jonbon. I missed the race but watched the replay last night. He's 7/2 for the Supreme at Cheltenham so Iam seriously thinking of using my weekly free bet of Sky from now until the race. When I win on the footie a I may throw a few quid on him from the winnings. It's a bit of a risk but it will be fun.

What could possibly go wrong ?   :D

Quite a few good ones out this weekend. The John Durkan looks like a very good race with Allaho and Envoi Allen both due to run. Chacon Pour Soi, Energumene also out for Mullins. A couple of good Mares chases as well with those high up in the betting for that race at Cheltenham. The Many Clouds chase also looks a good renewal. However the one immmost looking forward to seeing is Ferny Hollow over fences for the first time, got a feeling he’s going to be their no1 for the Arkle and Appreciate It will go for the Marsh chase instead

CPS is one of the most overrated horses I’ve seen since I’ve followed horse racing. Totally useless away from a flat track where he usually beats up bad animals or horses running over the wrong trip. Rated 176? Have a day off.

In all fairness he beat onagatheringstorm by 13 lengths in a point giving 5 pounds. That’s rated 131 now with Fergal O’Brien so I think the winner is actually pretty smart.

Yep could be. Kilcruit beat the third 20 lengths so if the winner wasn’t in the race it would have looked like a good performance.

The John Durkan looked a test every horse that finished looked fucked

Nothing looked super impressive today, but Energumene did little wrong. Constitution Hill was pretty impressive for Henderson yesterday. Allaho did well considering he seems to need his first run and probably prefers going left. Was a tough race though hope he hasn’t left his season there

Not seen the bumper yet, but he deserves another good one after losing Latest Exhibition

Thought Ferny Hollow was ok, but scratchy at a few but been off a while, interested to see whether they go over further with Appreciate It as a result

Definitely deserves a good one after what happened last weekend. I don’t know what he’s beat yet but you don’t get many bad Punchestown bumpers and he absolutely bolted up. Could’ve won running backwards. Seriously impressed with him.

Looking at what it beat there and it wasn't a whole pile, still though a good performance.

Asterion Forlonge had Allaho handily beaten if he stayed up. Put in serious weight carrying performance in a handicap last year he's one to keep on side.

Nah not having that sorry Gerry. When he's on it he's spectacular. Some horses only like certain tracks, he doesn't like a hill don't think anyone is doubting that, but it's ok. Beats up bad animals  ;D Have a look at some of the horses in those races, you'd be familiar with some coming over and taking yer Grade 1s recently  ;D

Not sure about Asterion Forlonge. He certainly looked to be going best, but he does have a few issues. One being he doesn’t always stay upright and two he hates going left handed. I know Allaho finished all out but his first run is usually his worst and the way they finished I’m not certain Asterion Forlonge wouldn’t have emptied as well. Not a horse I’d entirely trust

Maybe not entirely trust that is fair but I think he has a good chance of outrunning big odds in a grade 1 soon. He's entered in the King George at Kempton, should be a big price and wouldn't be a bad e/w bet.

Sounds as though Chacun Pour Soi might have picked up an injury Saturday.

Anyone heard anything recently about Appreciate It? I know he’s suppose d to be going chasing and the Arkle was the original target just wondering when he’s due out and if they may be thinking about further now Ferny Hollow is back

Going back to the bumper, the one he beat 15 lengths only got done 12 and a bit by Ginto who looks like he could be anything over sticks and danced in that Grade 2 at the weekend. We'll have to see next time out but we'll get a nicer price than we would if it was trained by Willie or Henry.

That's for certain anyway. I was maybe a bit more disparaging than I should have been but there was no heavy hitters from the top stables involved in the race. Not sure Paul Nolan is one for keeping horses in bumpers for too long so it'll be interesting to see what he does anyway.

Great name for the horse.

All of Willie's were a little bit late to start this year waiting for the winter ground. Haven't heard anything but if I was to speculate it would definitely be Appreciate It stepping up in trip out of the two anyway.

However in saying that they are both entered in the 2m Grade 1 in Leopardstown on St. Stephen's day(Boxing Day).

Yes I had look at the entries after I posted and noticed they’re both in the G1 at Limerick on Boxing Day over 2m3.5 as well so I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I imagine they’ll be split if both run

Racheal Blackmore riding for Venetia Williams today above stable jockey Charlie Deustch. Got to be worth a small investment.

I'll probably chance an ew double on her mounts today. I don't really fancy Ballyadam to be truthful but would she bother travelling back and forth for 2 rides if they didn't have good chances?

Can’t recall ever finding the winner of the December Gold Cup but was thinking about a small bet on Dostal Phil, thought the stiffer track may work in his favour after being 4th in November.

Not the greatest Cheltenham card ever and the International is one of the weaker renewals I can recall
