Nice. Should be even more drops soon as well, as the newer 1333MHz FSB chips come out, plus AMD are bound to follow suit.
They've also got the new 1333Mhz chips on there. 2.66Ghz 1333Mhz cheaper than the top selling 2.4Ghz 1066Mhz FSB.Am really torn between which to get, for value the Quad core is just too good to pass up but then so are the 1333Mhz FSBs.Need to decide on a motherboard aswell now to go with either chip.
Some motherboard reviews/ rankings. If you go with the higher FSB chips, I don't think the P965 or 975 chipsets support 1333MHz, so you'd be looking at a 650i or 680i.
The new P35 supports it as well, and some now support DDR3 although it would be hard to recommend DDR3 memory at current prices
But it will near enough future proof your motherboard.Just to note the price on the quads have gone back up, but I suspect they will be back down on monday as that is when the intel price cuts occur.
Are those price cuts likely to be followed by AMD do we think?
Is AM2 going to be their platform of choice for awhile now or will Intel force them to redesign?
and on the downside you get talk talk broadband
