I'd like to see more shows like this. Will be interesting to see if they spin it off to look at residences in other cities
I suspect that before they chose this particular property to focus on, they'd probably looked at dozens, if not hundreds around the country.
I suspect that most of the others didn't cut the mustard, because although they may have had detailed past histories, the history's had gaps in them.
It's no surprise that it was chosen that a property in a big city was to feature, as in general, the bigger cities or towns would generally have the better historical records to fall back on.
Also, a port like Liverpool, would generally have a very good set of records (from various sources), going back several hundred years or more.
There may well of been more interesting properties to feature, from another area, but unless there's is an unbroken chain of records on that particular property, it kinds of spoils the continuity.
Just my thoughts, though. I wouldn't know for certain.
As for the series.
I thought this last one was the best yet (No. 3 of 4).
The other programmes tracing the Victorian era etc, seem to have less relevance to me.
The ones closer to now, ie: 20th century - up to modern times, I can kind of relate more to them.
