We really need to start winning consistently in the league soon. Having Spurs next isnt great but a win would be massive. We have to take 6 out of 6 against West Ham and Huddersfield.

This feels like a season where 4th spot might go to a points total of mid-60s.
I'm not sure on that.  Man city and man utd look like getting big totals.  Spurs are doing what they've done for the last few seasons, their weakness is playing at Wembley.  Chelsea are the only one of those four who have the potential for a meltdown in my eyes and I think that is a long shot.

We need to get our act together quickly as it'll be harder than ever to get into that top four.

Glass half empty here, but we only squeezed in last year, having started that season in title winning form. This year we will now need to produce title winning form for a sustained period of time, just to get 4th.

Not really.  We're already level with Chelsea and Arsenal, so if we produce fourth-place form from here we'll finish fourth.  But we should aim to do better than that anyway.

You'd think so mate but they're on +3 as of this morning. Of course that changes what with the way their game is going at the mo.

Cheers. The value of the APLT coming through then, Stoke must have had tricky fixtures so far.

Cheers. The value of the APLT coming through then, Stoke must have had tricky fixtures so far.

 Everton - Stoke City   1 - 0
 Stoke City - Arsenal   1 - 0
 West Bromwich - Stoke City   1 - 1
 Stoke City - Manchester Utd   2 - 2
 Newcastle Utd - Stoke City   2 - 1
 Stoke City - Chelsea   0 - 4
 Stoke City - Southampton   2 - 1
 Manchester City - Stoke City   7 - 2

Apart from Newcastle and West Brom away all the other games were 'Bonus' games (Par 0's). The West Brom draw is to par so they only 'dropped' points against Newscastle .....until today.

Edit - just realised that the Southampton game was not a par 0 game either. My bad

Anything under 70 points will be criminal by Klopp and this squad. If we dont improve very quickly then that is where we are heading.

We won't get over 70 points.

The most we can get from our remaining games is 87, you think we'll drop 17 points? Get Lallana, Mane and Clyne back and take our chances, we'll get back to better form.

Two of those games were away to the current best teams in the league, one where we were down to ten men. Most of the rest were draws we should have won.

To clock up 73 points we need to be going at over 2 points per game. 2.06 to be accurate.

So its definitely not in title winning form range for us to get a top four place. But we need to start performing. Anything less than 6 points from Huddersfield and West Ham will be a failure.

We’ve already got thirteen, so we can drop 30 points from here and still make 70.  Not that we should be looking at it like that.

Based on our current form this just doesn’t seem doable. We need to turn things around immediately or we’ll be lucky to have Europa League football next year

Unless we win the Champions League. Even fourth gets straight into the group stages from this season.

Relegation APLT: Week 9

ok, as the season progresses I'll drop and include teams based on whether they cross the 0 point line (and as long as it doesn't get too cluttered). This week I've taken out Brighton (rose to +1) and have included Stoke instead.
