fingers crossed. but it's actually the second time he's done it this season. i can't remember the game (possibly Villa), but it was at the anny road end.

we were under pressure on the receiving end of a couple of corners and follow up crosses - think he'd punched one away and also others cleared for multiple corners. he pulled out of a catch/punch and let one go over his head (crossed from the main stand side) and a guy on the back post got to the ball and hit it into the side netting of the back post. was a big let off at the time

It was Villa but the Villa player puts it into the side netting.

It's an interesting point about Kelleher, whose responsibility is it? His as the keeper to ensure it's clear or Trent to follow his runner and stop him getting the ball?

Probably both!
It's the goalkeeper's primary responsibility because he's in a position to touch it. What he did normally puts players off and the commitment Shaer showed indicates that it's something they had identified.

The curl on the cross was also deceptive.  It reminded me of a last minute goal we conceded against Westham in 2016 (FA cup) from a similar freekick by Payet.

You learn by your mistakes and Kelleher will never do that again unless he is literally standing on the touchline.

If he’s standing on the touchline we’re in a bit of trouble.

Yep, I've felt the same mate, then making myself understand a point is decent considering we'd been a shambles in the first half.

I've viewed the recycle bin of the posts deleted since the game, fucking hell mate you'd feel even worse. I don't know what's wrong with people.
The only thing I'll say about Kelleher is chin up lad and keep up the great work.
Also, I've been more frustrated with Nunez before that game.

It's not ideal having to face the Ev at the weekend, particularly with the players absent, but fucking hell a win there would be a tonic for us all.

Will be good if we can get one past them.

Be watching it with the missus at home - we both normally go there, but not this season :)  Wish me luck!

Didn't quite mean to kick off as much as I did when I finally got home the other day, but I'd seen a cracking game of football with the usual, fully expected two-tier refereeing from the shitehouse PGMOL, expecting to see people happy that we didn't lose, that we clawed the game back and kept fighting and even had a chance to win. Their last goal was one of those - 99.9% of the time the keeper would have been fine, great finish and poor defending let him in. But shit happens.

So  I expected to see disappointed people that were enthused by our fighting spirit and how close we got to another great win, but ended up reading pages slagging our manager off, our players off, how we need to spend big and posts not even mentioning the injuries and the fatigue we must be facing against a Newcastle side that really upped their game.

There were, of course, the usual steady and informed and reasonable posters still around and posting good sense and a good overview - plenty of those, but it's annoying when after such an amazing, incredible start to the season that a little bit of slack can't be given to appreciate how well we've done so far.

We've done fucking amazing. This is our best start in our entire clubs history isn't it?

Top of the league. Top of the champions league. I mean. Fucking hell. That's amazing from a new manager.

They both went in high, that's factually correct, both tried to play the ball at height.  Doku with his foot, Mac Allister with his chest.

A snap shot can show whatever you want it to, all depends when you pause.

Indeed. It beggars belief that people still use still photos as some kind of infallible evidence. Absolute madness. The same with fouls and 'fouls'.

ff, how we need to spend big and posts not even mentioning the injuries and the fatigue w

The fact we are fatigued is a great argument for needing to spend in January

Good luck tomorrow x
