I would be surprised if it gets rescinded, this was the FA's show piece game, on what has been a predictable weekend of cup football. For them to admit that the biggest game of the weekend was tarnished by poor refereeing, would be bad PR. And to be fair we all know how much the FA love their bullshit PR campaigns.

Did you watch us when we played them the game before? Kompany was a huge difference in that game!
I did yes, we played a lot of football in front of their back four and created very little. We resorted to tossing balls into the box that Kompany dealt with as you would expect most CB's to do in all honesty.

It won't get rescinded, by the letter of the law he had both feet off the floor straight red.

Personally thought it was a sublime tackle and it's one of them that a ref with a pair of balls would of used a bit of common sense told Rooney to shut up and let the game continue.

Letter of the law, what is thAt again? The FA is a law themselves, if they want to put LFC at a disadvantage then they will do it, just like they've shown already.

I agree with you Tomo but nothing the FA does surprises me. The Wolves red card NOT being overturned was ridiculous so don't be surprised if this one goes against the way you think.

Hope not, bit off topic but it's a shame it's going out of the game.

Used to be just European games where it became a non contact sport for fairies.

Kompany won't make much of a difference, our lack of creativity from midfield will be the biggest problem. They know that and can afford to sit back and counter us knowing we offer very little going forward, harsh I know but true.

We have created loads of chances this season. Our midfield isn't our biggest problem at all.

It's all about opinions and I understand what your saying, i just see it differently. I felt that most of the chances we created were the doing of Suarez and his ability to go past players. City will sit deep and I don't think we have the ability to break them down without the pace and skill of Suarez, the only player I can see hurting them is Bellamy.
I hope to god I am wrong but that is how I see it and why I don't think Kompany not playing suddenly gives us more hope.

Barton was sent off and had his appeal turned down within two days. He won't be playing unless it's rescinded.

I'm sad that City lost their FA game, it would have been something to split their attention. Now I hope we kick them out so that they can focus on the Premiership and we can win a trophy in February, tie up a Europa place and take it from there. This team would perform better without added pressure.

I expect us to play the normal back five, Spearing, Gerrard, Henderson, Bellamy, Downing and Carroll.

It depends on how long it takes them to catch three kangaroo's to sit on the Independent panel.

Seem to remember that gem of a ball by Henderson to play Downing in. If Downing put us 1-0 up then that game could of been different.

As they were intended to Suarez dives all over the place and now Kompany tackles like that all the time. If you hear a case of a Rawkite dying of asphyxiation it was just me holding my breath waiting for the FA to charge Ferguson with bringing the game into disrepute.

Thats the only chance our midfield created the whole game.Henderson looks a different player playing alongside Gerrard.Adam,Spearing and Henderson together in midfield doesnt work way too defensive and not enough movement.

He said he had noticed Kompany tackle like that before and was surprised that he had got away with it. Talk about prejudicing any appeal before it's even started. Amazing how you cannot say anything about ref's but Ferguson is free to slaughter opposition players.

However, counterpart Mr. Ferguson thought it was the right decision, saying: 'I think so, I've seen him do it before, he maybe got off in the past. I think if he catches Nani then he's got a problem.'

funny they are appealing. mancini started his after match interview saying it was a red, then it must have dawned on him that an appeal could delay the ban til after the cc semi, so he spends the end of the interview back tracking

Rodwell's sending off was rescinded and there's no way Kompany's tackle was any worse than that one, in fact I would say Rodwell's was far more aggressive.
