E3 2019
« on: June 9, 2019, 06:15:09 pm »
Rumours that Microsoft will tease two new Xbox consoles.

Strong rumour that Witcher 3 will be ported to the Switch.

No PlayStation at E3 this year.

What’s everybody looking forward to and what rumours have you heard and excited about?

New game for Banjo Kazooie, simultaneously released on Xbox and Switch.

Nintendo must surely have a few big announcements, their upcoming games are already known and their biggest only just had it’s own Direct. F-Zero’s more than overdue a return, maybe a new Mario Golf (I’d prefer Strikers), SNES games on the online service.

Alot of the stuff had already been leaked. I'm not too fussed about it, looks like MS will announce next gen hardware but I'm more interested to see what stuff they'll have coming to game pass down the line.

Baldurs Gate 3 announced.

No, just fucking no.
No! No! No!

Why do they have to fucking butcher everything?
Is it going to be an isometric masterpiece?
Is it fuck. It's going to be a watered down 3D shitfest.

Not really no but at least stuff is coming to gamepass. I dont expect MS to really knock it out the park with first party exclusives like Sony with Death Stranding or TLOU2 etc it'll take a while for that to happen but the new halo should be good.

FM2019 on gamepass for PC. Cool

Cant get excited for gears. Still have great memories of the first and enjoyed the second but didn't finish the third and the fourth was much the same but just prettier (did have nice hdr implementation though)

They might do in the long run but they made something great with the xbox one x in terms if design it's just the in house development which seems lacklustre compared to Sony and Nintendo. They are trying because they are making acquisitions and such but its gonna take a long time

They've done so much right the last 5 years, but this showing isn't enticing anyone from PC, Switch or PS4 to XBOX, I genuinely thought this was the year were Microsoft would blow the doors off, with first party titles, third party exclusives and some surprises, sadly not to be.

Everything just looks so overproduced and CG trailer-ish that it's just either derivative, uninteresting guff, boring, or both. Oh, look, it's another shooty, special ops, Ghost Recon-looking thingy. Exciting.

Why won't Xbox invest in VR? Some of the exclusives on PSVR alone have been amazing.

Maybe emulation, but Sony are talking about literally everything, peripherals, VR, past hardware like PS3, 2 and 1 on the die. Everything will just work and not rely on developers having to code to get stuff working.

Yeah Sony beat MS to the punch with the hardware. Although neither wants to reveal the design or what's under the hood in too much detail yet.

I think gamepass was the best bit because the keep adding value for money on there

120 fps but that's only theoretical because of HDMi2.1

Doubt you'll be seeing that. Still 60fps at 4k is a reasonable expectation

Well this is what is being promised

PROJECT SCARLETT revealed #XboxE3

- less loading times
- Zen 2/Navi technology
- 4x more powerful than XBX
- GDDR6
- 120 FPS/ 8K (HDMI 2.1)
- real-time raytracing
- New generation SSD, virtual RAM

They are taking a high end gaming PC dressed as a console

Its come down in price quite a bit though still 350ish.

I dont think they'll be much difference in hardware between the two consoles. They are both banging the ssd and zen drum just guess there will be some small differences in how much they've customised them but they wont be worlds apart.

Imagine Sony will have the better top tier games because they have better devs ultimately but MS offer good value with gamepass and now rolling xbox live into that is a good proposition to play MP and third party stuff and obviously the first party stuff which will be on gamepass at launch. Something for everyone between the two, something you couldn't say for xbox back in 2013 anyway.

This industry is off it's head to be honest. The Xbox One X came out in November 2017, not even two years old yet.

I'm not buying a new console every 2 and a half to three years, get to fuck.
