Was in the Upper, saw one guy having a proper go at another in our end, I think it was fact he was smashed and the other fella had a half & half scarf on, so he gave him a right ear bashing.

Everyone infront of us were sitting down so we stayed standing up so soon after everyone got up. They definitely werent regulars but tbf least they sang along with songs they knew.

We moved further on to the left towards Chelsea fans, and steward threatened to kick me out for putting up dbts stickers on all the seats around me. I wasnt impressed to say the least  ;D

That steward would have hated me, had a whole roll full of them before I left for London, think I filled the entire lower with them.

i'm sure the lads will have a good journey home. The atmosphere after defeats is a lot better than a win. The semi loss journey home was fantastic.

Loved that all three Gerrard songs got a good airing, the Oh Steven Gerrard one is rarely heard outside of pubs. The celebrations after his goal were great too.

Anybody see this?

Few people on the Rattle spinoff saying Colin Pascoe's son got people kicked out yesterday for bringing drink in. Went up and told the stewards. Also tried to get some Stoke fans kicked out, nobody seems sure why.

He's got form for it after the whole 'don't touch me, I can't be expected to queue up, do you seriously not know me?' shite he pulled against Villa.

Edit -

https://instagram.com/tyler_pascoe

Answering my own post...he's said on social media that there were homophobic chants from the Stoke supporters, so fair enough.

Still have no idea why he'd be interested in trying to get our own chucked out for a few bevvies though.

This quilt represents modern day football.   Chauffer driven to the match, best seats, lots of selfies oozing an arrogance that he is 19 and from Wales and that his dad is assistant manager.     We are LFC not some claim to fame because of who your dad is.    Maybe Paul Dalglish can give the lad some lessons in how to behave.

we were row 3 of block 38 and even though the first half was one of the worst I have ever witnessed, most in our area continued with the Gerrard songs, the ooooh steven gerrard song was repeated so many times which was surprising as that never gets sung. Only a small handful walked out at ht, with the fans still singing Liverpool and Gerrards name (he had his head down when walking off but he still put his hand up to acknowledge the fans).

Best part of the game for us was obviously when he scored, we all went nuts. Loved the fact stoke fans chanted only one greedy b*stard to Sterling when he was warming up. He had a steward keeping him company when walking to and from the dug out.

In fairness he is probably a bit pissed off with us lot singing about his dads dreamy legs at every away game :)

Usually hate going to Stoke for a variety of reasons but mainly due to the majority (not all) of their inbred fans.

I was more gobsmacked they actually applauded Stevie's goal than i was we were getting beat 5-0 at HT.  Although if Steve Gerrard had scored the winner, i wonder if they would have been so generous.

Good article although I don't agree with the ticket sentiment, it appears to be accepting the over pricing issue. A lot of people can't afford to go anymore, bring back the Pen!

Most of the article is spot on.  Be interesting to see how many of those at the Chelsea SF are still attending matches,  seems to have been a massive change on the demographics which ties in with the disproportionate increase in ticket prices.  It is not all about the crowd though, it is about how the players react to the crowd and vice-versa, look at how many inspirational leaders we had on the pitch in 2005, how many do we have now?

34 thousand at Anfield about 15 months beforehand to watch Liverpool draw 1-1 at pompey. Booed off the pitch. The likes of Smicer, Kewell were not "leaders" and they used to get loads of stick from the crowd. Carra used to get earfuls from the paddock all the time when he was younger. Lets not pretend we were something we weren't.

Most of the crowd who were at the first chelsea semi probably still go.

Carragher, Gerrard, Hyypia, Riise, Alonso, Hamann, Garcia, Dudek......how many leaders amongst that lot?   How many would motivate the crowd and also react to the crowd in a symbiotic relationship?   Who do we have now?
There have always been days when we booed the team off.  Being Anfield these were few and far between and always with just cause.   Nothing wrong with that.   Difference is that even if we only had 35000 at the game the majority of those 35000 were well up for it on a regular basis.    One of our best ever atmospheres was with a 23000 crowd against Auxerre.
