It's on Challenge and it's always a laugh to look back at how things were but when you see it laid out like this...

There's a fella who drinks(or did 3/4 years ago) in fogertys off smithdown who went on that and would go on about it to any poor sod unlucky enough to be within 10 yards of him at the bar. And to be fair he's a bit of a specimen. Nice enough fella but massive pissed up gobshite most of the time.

Showed us the video in class one day before we finished for the summer and we were pissing ourselves all the way through.

Got to the final round and only managed a 20, the other two darts bounced off! ;D

It was the same one every week.  I reckon there was a feller on the way out going "Ey! Lad, I'll give you five hundred notes for that boat. Whatcha reckon?  C'mon you can hardly take if for a spin on the municipal duck pond and yer haven't even got a tow bar on yer Allegro now have yer?"

Bullseye was always on straight after The Big Match on ITV, and once that had finished it was leftover chicken butties for tea then the sound of the dreaded Sunday night bath being run.

They tried it a few years ago with Dave Spikey presenting and it didn't work. They'll never be able to recreate it's shambolic, northern, working-class charm. They'd probably have Vernon Kaye presenting and the top prize will be 100 grand, totally missing the appeal of the original show.
