shot in the beqaa valley by the brilliant jessy mousalem it's a portrait of manhood and the manufacture of red leb hash.

currently exclusive to nowness it's 13 minutes of hazy psychedelia that gets a bit weird half way through.

hello moondog he has done a great job here. strong performances drive it and that's the right way to go with rap.

my advice is to keep working: the more you do; the more you learn.

perhaps engage with a variety of different types of music and also look to work on narrative.

if a local director wants to do a film but doesn't have a ton of cash helping out is a good way to get new work on the reel.

if you want to make money as an editor at the high end it's all about cutting commercials and feature films so story telling is key.

please keep me posted on any new work.

Thanks for that, he has been scouted by a fairly successful label in that London, they are offering him a deal to produce and edit half a dozen videos for different artists and he is obviously keen to work with a budget and get paid (he is still only 17) plus working with people already getting 2/3 million plays on you tube will be awesome for his career path. Is this an unusual deal? A label agreeing to a package of videos is a new one by me, but what happened was he did a spec video for some lad, who then got signed to the label on the back of it and the label and its biggest artist immediately wanted him on board. Great stuff for him but obviously dad has concerns about agreeing to fees for work that may be 6 months away by which point who knows what his charges should be. He has made a great looking documentary about their trip to LA / appearance at Whisky A Go Go which I would like to send you I that is ok.

my advice? do it. get some work on the reel. be a new voice. if he wants to chat about it when he's in london i'm happy to have a cup of coffee with him or you both.
