much of the last one was bad because of Rodgers
We already get lots of behind the scenes stuff on LFC youtube.
I think it would be a great watch

Netflix did a TV documentary on F1 called "Drive to Survive" which was a huge success in the USA and brought vast riches to the sport of F1 motor racing.... It was so successful that the leading teams were clamouring to be involved as the series progressed.

If LFC were to make a similarly well-financed and professional product with a top-class production via Netflix or Apple TV which would be a great marketing tool for overseas fans who just can't get enough of their favorite club then it would be worthwhile especially if the increased income resulted in being able to sign a serious replacement for Mo (which won't be cheap) then i'm all for it.

If, however, it turns out to be a cringeworthy documentary like the one Brendan Rodgers and Stevie Gerrard got mixed up in, then no thanks.

I trust FSG to make a sensible decision on this and, of course, nobody is compelled to watch it if they don't want to.

i imagine the Marketing Department will be rubbing their hands at the prospect.....
The first series or two of Drive to Survive were good, but because it was successful they over did it. Everything is completely staged and overly dramatic now.
I think they think they are repeating the winning formula but is horrible now and no longer worth watching in my view

I've enjoyed the Wrexham one, but that's more to do with Ryan Reynolds, on my part, I think. It does promote the area and community very well, as well as the club though. It really has helped generate their finances and fan base.

Only ones that will benefit from our show would be hairdressers, dentists and stylists. It's a no from me.

I might have dreamt this but weren't we involved in a Sky behind the scenes documentary in the late 90s/early 2000s? I seem to recall Owen and Carragher playing pool and talking about "work" as they called it . It was dull, tedious and forgettable. Would be more than happy with another like that.

Arsenal are rumoured to have been paid £10m for their Amazon show. As we have more of a global following, I imagine we'll get a bit more. But I guess the real thinking from FSG is to gain more long term fans from around the world to ultimately increase revenue.

With the PL appearing to have grown some balls with the PSR and if they do twat ADFC, then I can see the logic behind this, if it brings additional £millions into the club for Klopp to spend. He's probably been promised the money for transfers and this is why he's now OK with it.

Still don't like the idea of it. Luckily I was never involved in Trucks and Trailers, knew some drivers who were, but it was cringeworth TV and a lot was faked/overdramitised for TV.

I wonder what made Klopp change his mind.

My opinion:

Klopp is an educator. He likes to teach people his philosophy on the game and life. His objective (appears) that everyone around him including opponents and supporters alike understand the importance of enjoying life. Look at most of his press-conferences as a reference. So him making a documentary like this was always going to happen in the future.

Why now?

In 2018, Klopp hadn't won anything with Liverpool - and it would be silly to have cameras showing him ask the players and staff to "trust the process" as Arteta so moronically puts it. Now having won everything - and given the fact that it was achieved against the financially doped Manchester City, it makes his message even stronger and more genuine.

I don't think anything changed Klopp's mind beyond his employers emphasizing that this would be a really useful commercial exercise, and component of the general strategy of the club to grow profile and revenue in the long term, and having him on board is really critical. I don't think he would have been promised any transfer funds and a one off £10m or so from Netflix/Amazon/Apple is neither here or there for a club that generates nearly £600m a year. From a completely selfish point of view, Klopp probably would not be on board, but putting the clubs interests first, he'll make it work. Apparently Mike Gordon stays at Klopp's house when he is in the UK so maybe he offered to do the dishes after dinner if Klopp got on board.

Stupid if true. Like stripping naked and letting people watch for money.  :no :

All those clips of Mourinho, Levy, Rodgers, Sterling, Son, Deli Ali and Arteta are constantly played in pristine quality for all the world to see how much money these people get, for so little input, common sense and work.

We need a better way to make £20M. ::)

If it was just the women's team, that could be really good for them and for the club.  But obviously wouldn't get anywhere near the viewership of Klopp and the men's team.
