I hope we don’t get too frustrated. If we’re patient here we can still nick it.

Imagine this team with Haaland in.

We need a fundamental re-think at No. 9. In the meantime get Jota or Gakpo on.

Can the stats nerds explain to me at what point Nunez’s misses become actual goals? Like when does this revert to the mean thing happen?

Salah is like Owen was on penalties. 4 misses in 10 is nowhere near good enough. And what can you say about Nunez? You never expect him to score. Not good enough from a Liverpool Number 9, simple as.

Nunez gives everything but we can’t keep getting away with all his chances missed.

Jota on asap please.

Ref giving obvious call for pen but then goes full reverse for anything else. The fact Joelinton isn’t on a yellow is absurd.

Can we have Jota on at half time please? I hope Jurgen tears them to pieces at half time, because at this rate they might as well just stand to one side and let Newcastle score, it would save us all a lot of bother. And it's not as if Newcastle are any good, because they really aren't. We should be absolutely out of sight. Enormously frustrating :no

Discipline.  Don’t let them back into the game by losing focus.

Don’t let Taylor make the game about him.

Punish them through discipline and concentration.

Do that, and it will come.

For a team that has almost lottery odds on actually being awarded penalties, Salah unfortunately isn't clinical enough on them. Think about when Milner was our taker.

Anthony Taylor is scum, he's corrupt and we all know it. This is a bald, manc c*nt who's cost us league titles before. But, we can't be taking his bait.

Nunez off for Jota which should've been the start anyway. I love Darwin but, you had to know he was offside for Diaz' goal and you also had to know he'd miss that one on one as well. I'd have put my mortgage on both.

Should be winning handy, should beat them handy in 2nd half. We'll see though.

This is soooooooo frustrating.

We aren’t doing much wrong. The problem is we’re doing the most important bit wrong - the turning chances into goals.

Hope the players don’t lose heart particularly with some of the decisions that went against us. They must be frustrated as fuck. But if they keep there heads we can still win this second half with a bit more quality up top and some help from our bench

Diaz has been excellent, Mo looks a little  off the pace and must be taken off pens.

Home games are becoming set in a very obvious pattern. Create chances, miss them all, allow the other team back into it. Every game is now a slog when this should have been wrapped up by 30 minutes. So frustrating for VVD, Ali and the lads at the back.

Yep, not quite sure why the ref is getting so much grief bar not carding Joeliton what has he done wrong? Trent kicked the ball away, Diaz showed dissent, school boy level losing your head moments, and its all of our own doing, we should be 2-0 ahead and cruising.

How does Nunez keep getting so many starts?  He just isn’t producing how much he should.

Salah has missed 4 out of his last 9 penalties.  Time to take him off them.

He was willing the penalty to be ruled out as well.

And willing for there offside to be on

He's a gobshite but particularly bad tonight. He's worried we'll win the league so he's doing everything in his power to sway perception, then social media sheep pick it up and then run with it etc etc

We should be at least two or three up, and have only got ourselves to blame for that part.

The ref is an absolute embarrassment though. I was fucking roaring at the TV at some of his ridiculous calls.

Szoboszlai needs some time out of the team. His use of the ball has gone to shit.

Should have scored, first 20-25 were encouraging though because we were doing the right stuff, act getting good shots away just missed out with a good save, bad shot, poor pen, etc. Last 20 or so not as much as we didn't really get the opportunities as much and was kinda falling flat with decisions.

Lots of good pressing. We are the better side. We need to take our chances. Salah should have scored the penalty. Nunez should have scored his one on one. Unfortunate with the offside on Diaz goal, fortunate at the other end for their offside goal. I think we have been a bit sloppy both in our build up (Szoboszlai’s loss of possession, TAA’s missed cross) and with our counterattacks (thinking mainly on Szoboszlai’s inability to play the ball in front of the attackers.
Expect us to be sharper in the second.

Hard to believe a number 9 can't put that away. We are such a wasteful team.

Referee is a c*nt. Amazes me how sky persist in having that rat c*nt neville on commentary for every Liverpool game. I've already cancelled my sky subscription in part due to that. I feel like many others have too.

Our attackers are acting as Newcastle 's best defenders.
I can't believe how utterly bad our play in the final third is.

Which is a shame. As everything before that is very very good..

Naturally,  us missing 10000000 chances gives the opposition encouragement.

I see us actually losing from here. Really cannot see us acoring at all.
Even if another penalty comes our way.

Nunez is doing my head in. There's no point in having the pace to run off the last man if 1) You can't stay onside and 2) You can't put the ball in the net when you get there.  Mo has been bloody awful too. He seems to increasing have these games where every pass he makes appears to be smashed into his marker.

Just zero cutting edge or composure for the umpteenth game in a row - we all know how this one is ending. Newcastle are trying to wind us up, assisted by Taylor, and we're letting them. Wouldn't even be an issue had we not missed a pen and wasted a number of other good chances, but we created the situation and they're taking full advantage.

Salah needs taking off pens. He's not good at them, and he tends to miss them in these tight games that go on and cost us points.

Stick on Jota and Elliott cos this bunch aint scoring.
