I think Ibe should start. He'll be buzzing after securing his new contract.

Has he been on the hippie crack again?

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

So... dribbling then. :D

Haha Can't remember who the player was, but his 'dribbling' was quite literally a case of him playing a through ball to himself. ;D

On Talksport this morning they said that there were rumors Sterling had been dropped and that Lallana would play up top. It is talksport so don't take much notice

So important to win and get 5th. Don't want to be starting European football mid july!!
It'd be perfect.

They don't deserve a long summer after what they've served up this season.

Sakho for Lovren but rest of team is correct apparently.  If so, slight change in shape?

Lallana
Coutinho Gerrard
Moreno Lucas Allen Henderson
Sakho Skrtel Can
Mignolet

That can't be right, Rodgers always plays favourites, doesn't he? :D

I think it would be 4-3-3 still, with Coutinho as the false 9

Lets get out there and at these clayheads from the off, high tempo, snappy passes, in their faces, show some intent and finish the season with some purpose and send off Stevie in a befitting way, on a win!

Come on you redmen! Cant wait for this...

I get that impression from Markovic. His lack of confidence is clear when he's dribbling.

Having said that it would have been nice to see him play today. No pressure, nothing to play for, just go and do his best.

Once we have the game firmly in the bag, bring Gerrard on and then sub him just before the end so that we can give him two standing ovations! 8)

We're playing for 5th!
But if we act like we don't care about it, Sterling might think we're ambitious and stay!

Worth noting, this may also be Lucas' last game, as well as Johnson's and Gerrard's.

Lallana

Moreno Lucas Allen Henderson
Sakho Skrtel Can
Mignolet

15 minutes into the game, Brendan blows the whistle and all of a sudden Moreno is leading the attack, with Mignolet bombing down the left and Henderson in goal, passing it out of the back. Turns out, this was Brendan's master plan. Muahahahahaha.

Ah the old "play with zero strikers then moan we don't score enough goals" system.

Yeah, we should use all of our strikers.

Mignolet
Can Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Lucas
Henderson Coutinho
Lambert Borini Balotelli

A front three like that, in the form they're in, whew that's at least one goal! Guaranteed!*

Johnson has had a lot of stick, including from me and I'd stand by it, but I do hope he gets a good run somewhere before he retires. Still a great sight when he bursts down the wing.

Hope we win 7-1 actually, it's my birthday.

He has a year left here. He might as well see out his contract.

He won't be going to the Euro's next year anyway now that Kane has come along.

Doesn't change the fact that he might want to play more. If we get 2 new strikers in and Origi his chances will be more limited. Especially if Balotelli stays.
I know it will be hard for him to take, but does he really want to play in the cups solely?

If Sterling started then the management has lost it.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.
