Sterling - in first 11 / bench / squad? Thoughts on if he does make the side (he shouldn't imo)

Will this weekend's game have any bearing on the future of the manager or some of the current players?

Does Brendan pick a side with next season in mind?

Will be disappointed if Moreno, Markovic and Ibe don't get a look in.

Fuck off should Sterling play. How could he possibly consider playing him in the last game of Steven Gerrard. Take away the spotlight and leave him on merseyside, this is about Stevie.

Put him on the bench, tell him to get used to the view. Because if he signs for City that's where he'll be. And if he doesn't sign a contract extension that's where he'll be for us.

Expect Gerrard to feature.

The lineup might tell us a lot about who's expecting to stay/go during the summer, or it might not.

I reckon he might even get a barracking from the away section and it'll be a pity to see our away support in such a poor light. Media would have a 10 course orgasm.

He NEEDS to be dropped - no way you can behave that badly and get game time - besides, we've played pretty direly with him in the team since losing to the Mancs - can't get much worse can it...

I don't think Rodgers will drop him. It doesn't look like he's thinking about next season either otherwise why is Johnson playing?

Is it poor management if he shows Sterling's actions have no consequences?

After the sheer soul destroying misery of this season I'd be almost disappointed by a good performance. We need the win to avoid the possibility of being beaten by a team comprised of part timers from a country none of us could find on a map to start our summer off with a bang, but I think we are going to need the Stoke players to have actually gone on their holidays and have left some mannequins operated by pullies behind in their stead to win. Even then it would probably be 2-1 with them all being own goals. Lovren's from the half way line.
