If you think Skrtel is clearly a level below Cahill I give up.

I would. Skrtel's been here seven and half years, I doubt anyone's seriously going to change their mind about him now. Personally, I think it's great news, he's a very good defender, though not flawless (who is?). He has his strengths and weaknesses but has generally played very well for us over the years. Going into the new season with the players we have, we're a stronger team with him than without. Alongside Sakho, should be a regular starter.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

Give up then. Cahill is at the bottom of those listed. He's still better than Skrtel.

Nonsense. Stick Cahill in Rodgers' Liverpool and he'd be absolutely awful defensively and make loads of key errors.  Stick Skrtel in Mourinho's Chelsea (with defensive shape, a DM, full backs who can defend, a commanding goalkeeper) and he'd be the best centre half in the league.

Now that is silly. Sakho is a much superior player to Skrtel

They're both average for us. Be it the system or coaches or players around them, whatever. Neither perform as well as they should.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

Are you really that down on Milner and Ings?. I understand how it is acceptable to be rude about ginger haired people re Bogdan, although of course I condemn such behaviour, being half Irish.

I suspect Martin has broken his cycle of one good one crap season, although his 7 goal contribution from the season before would have been more welcome in the one just gone.

Finally some good news.

Aside from the fact we've bought two players and are losing one and are Ģ40m+ to the good so far (-20% of course)

I do think re-signing committed players, what few there are left, is understated in terms of importance, it is especially so in the post Gerrard/Dalglish era where our connection with the city and the club is now tenuous.

How can people genuinely say something like this about Martin Skrtel and be serious. You're all fucking mad.

Tough day?  ;D
The biggest problem anywhere in the world is that people's perceptions of reality are filtered through the screening mesh of what they want, and do not want, to be true.

Sad how much hate he gets. One of our most loyal and dedicated players. He will be the player with the most LFC games of all in the squad next year, I assume. Never heard this kind of talk around Carra, who was a very similar player.

If we would have lost he would have been replaced by some 25M shite from Sunderland.

Nah, some of us are just happy to see a good centre back who`s been here for years who`s got a lot of experience kept at the club this summer.

There aren't many better centre backs in the league than Skrtel. He has his faults, just like every other player out there, but all in all he`s a fucking good centre back.

According to his official Instagram it's a fake FB account.
