If anone is interested in making money today, don't bet on Sire Collonges in the next race. Im on it and have had a terrible day. Never recovered from the Annie fall yesterday.

This would put me a little bit up for the 2 days but not holding my breath.
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

They're piling into that Toutancarmount.

Just put a couple of small stakes trebles (e/w) on the last races.

Sire Collognes,  Arabian Revolution and Bordini.
Toutancarmount, All Yours and Supasundae.

Having a shocker today and no mistake.

Just didn't quite have the legs at the end, shame as I though Sire was looking alright there.

Geraghty on Arabian Revolution in the next. 9/1.

Fewming.

Done an EW treble with Aux Ptit Soin , Dodging Bullets and Toutacarmont. Fewming.

An EW double ob Zarib and Bordini.

Just chucked £5 on Vigil by accident instead of Bordini.

Not sure of the best way to make money at these (singles, doubles, Yankees etc etc). This is the first racing festival I've ever had a good punt on.

Basically watch which horses I bet on and then jump on another.  :butt

Giving the rest of the festival a miss after today. Bordini my last horse but even a win on this one wouldn't scrape the surface on the losses I've had today.

I've done ok in the past with my mates tips mate. I'll post up today what he thinks for tomorrow. This year I'm not doing so well, but at least I'm up. I deposited £100, bet for 2 days and I'm £31.50 up! Not much, but I always try to get the 1st 3 days to pay for my day off racing on Friday!

1.30 JLT NOVICES’ CHASE (Grade 2) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 4f)

Vautour is the favourite and the most serious threat to my strong fancy Ptit Zig, who blotted his copybook recently when falling in the grade 1 Ascot Chase. He was travelling well at the time and I have not lost faith. Vautour who has been working really well, could be too strong but Cheltenham will test him.
Apache Stronghold and Splash of Ginge are also strong contenders. The latter was very good at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day and I think he must be in the first three if he jumps round. He ran very poorly at Sandown but is felt to be unsuited by going right handed. Noel Mead’s Apache Stronghold was impressive in beating Valseur Lido at Leopardstown with several good horses behind and for me looks the main threat.

Selection: Ptit Zig 7/2
Danger: Apache Stronghold 6/1

2.05 PERTEMPS FINAL HANDICAP HURDLE (5yo+, Class 1, 3m)

With A. Martin declaring Edeymi as likely to run in this and Call the Cops of N Henderson’s putting up such a striking performance at Doncaster, the betting has had a bit of a shake-up. The other Henderson contender, Dawalan has been a strong fancy of mine for this and I will stick with him as he seems ideally suited by 3 miles, if B Geraghty sides with Call the Cops I might change my view especially as he is set to carry 1 stone less than Dawalan. The others I like are Mydor (A. Martin) and Run Ructions Run. Mydor I see as the danger following his good performance behind Lean Araig at Punchestown.

Selection: Dawalan 14/1    Call the Cops 9/1 – B Geraghty selected
Danger: Mydor 16/1

2.40 RYANAIR CHASE (Grade 1) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 5f)

I have been re-reading the form in an effort to find something to beat Don Cossack and it has proved very difficult, he looks like one of the bets of the meeting.
Johns Spirit has been very good this year and you feel he must be in the shake-up but will probably find one or two too good for him.
Cue Card has been ruled out again but Balder Succses makes strong appeal after his good win in the grade 1 Ascot Chase. Two questions need answering, does he run his best in small fields and can Ma Filleule reverse placing’s?. I think the answer to both is yes, so if the field cuts up he has a chance but will do well to beat Ma Filleule.
Keep an eye on Hidden Cyclone because if he runs here instead of the Champion Chase he will be a major threat to the favourite.

Selection: Don Cossack 7/2*
Danger: Ma Filleule 5/1

3.20 WORLD HURDLE (Grade 1) (4yo+, Class 1, 3m)

Last year’s winner, More of That is unable to defend his title so this is now very open. Zarkander definitely has the ability but he needs a very canny ride and with N Fehily now in the saddle he seems certain to run well. Stable mate Saphir Du Rheu has reverted to hurdles impressively and looks a lively contender.
I am a big fan of Rock on Ruby and although he has to prove he stay’s the 3miles, I would love to see him win. The Irish have some strong candidates with Lieutenant Colonel and Monksland to name but two. Others of note are Un Temps Pour Tout who I think could be the danger and don’t rule out Seeyouatmidnight at a big price.

Selection: Rock on Ruby 8/1
Danger: Un Temps Pour Tout 12/1

4.00 BROWN ADVISORY& MERIBELLE STABLE PLATE HANDICAP CHASE (Grade 3) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 5f)

E Williams with Buywise and Barrakilla and D Pipe with Monetaire and Ballynagour seem to have major chances of securing this prize.
Caid du Berlais has run 3 times at Cheltenham this season and won the Paddy Power with his customary late surge. His jumping however is not always sound so I will bypass him this time.
Monetaire is improving and could well be the answer here. He has only run twice since coming from France but is a typical Pipe improver.
Buywise is very interesting, ran 3rd here behind Caid Du Berlais and his only run since was in a hurdle race at Ffos Las which he won easily, almost certainly protecting his chasing handicap figure. He has a good win ratio. He has improved since running in the novice chase at this meeting last year when finishing 5th to Present View.
The Irish are represented by Byerley Babe and possibly Jarry D’Honneur. So at this time I will side with Monetaire and Buywise in that order.

Selection: Monetaire 12/1
Danger: Buywise 12/1

4.40 KIM MUIR HANDICAP CHASE (5yo+, Class 2, 3m 1f 110y)

Similar problem to the last race in that many of the same horses are entered here. This is an amateur rider’s race so jockey bookings are important and sometimes telling. The D Pipe stable is again well represented in this with Broadway Buffalo, Soll and Gevrey Chambertin. Colin Tizzard has Masters Hill and Theatrical Star entered here and I like the look of the former very much.
The dangers for me are Standing Ovation, the one Pipe horse I think could be well handicapped with 10.11, especially if the ground is not too soft and Gallant Oscar.

Selection: Masters Hill 16/1
Danger: Gallant Oscar 14/1

Still got paint the clouds and Bordini to get me back on track.

£3.36 winnings today put on Supersundae and Jetstream Jack reverse forecast and Bordini, Vigil and General Principle combination tricast,  for the hell of it.

Lads, not a stone wall cert tip by any means but just been given Ghost River in the next.  Its from my best mate who says its from a decent source he knows.

We have also been given an even better one (apparently) earlier in the week for the Pertemps tomorrow which I'll post up nearer the off.

Ghost River has really good EW claims by all accounts and its 50/1 currently.

The selection for the Pertemps tomorrow is a much more solid tip i hear.

Back it at your own peril and don't shoot the messanger but at 50/1 you don't have to go mad.
