Kenny won't like that if the player doesn't want to be here. You can do an awful lot with the balance of fee received over and beyond what we owe and saved wages of between £9m and £12m.

Kenny would not worry about it much, Comolli would. He would have to take a call and he is here to do the financial analysis required on the worth of a player. All our in house rawk financial experts have no access to the contract terms, or the options on the table. All are guess estimates and a lot of figures thrown out sometimes just for arguments sake. Like of example there is no "saved wages", there is only wages, no one will work for free and non one's a slave. So Aquilani is worth some money, whether we want to pay it is another matter. If not, then we need someone with better ability and lesser money, which is not easy to find but easy to comment on from an armchair. The value of a player is something which Kenny and Comolli would have a good idea of, and definitely would have a nice idea of how to spend it.
Kenny: "We play the way we want to play. We play to the style that suits us, no disrespect to other clubs but we don't focus on anybody else"

Does it. Seems to me that they really want this deal done no matter what.

They can do the deal any time they like - once they fork over the agreed fee.  ;D

if if if if if
If Aqulani wanted to come back to Liverpool , he still wouldn't be welcomed by Xerxes
If Aquilani was the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong wouldn't be half as famous
If Aquilani wasn't Italian, he'd probably be Dutch
If Aquilani was a pastry chef, he wouldn't be a footballer
If Aquilani always eats with chopsticks, he'd probably love his noodles
If Aquilani had ginger hair, he'd probably have Irish roots
If Aquilani was the Stig, it would explain why he was injured quite alot in his season with us.
If Aquilani made the first expedition to discover America and the Antractic, he probably would be quite old right now
If Aquilani was the heir to the throne, he still wouldn't be English enough
If Aquilani came out and said he'd be happy to play for Liverpool, certain posters on RAWK, would say that he was forced to say it.

Starting to think you have something over the Mods. Your like a cat with 9 lives.

It wasn't taken out on context and your not a man of your word - I am worried.

Fordy, are you honestly surprised by M_R backtracking over this? You received your money yet?

He is supposed to pay me, once we get Aquilani back, and we don't sign Charlie Adam ... Of course, that money is already on the way to HJC, for my 4th place bet with C.ock ...

Yes I am to be honest. No one forced him to put he will never post on here again and he isnt carrying out his word so when I place a bet I trust them to carry out want they say they're going to do if they lose.

How can anyone take the lad seriously?

But in another sense he is paying it to charity, so i feel abit snide asking him to prove it to me, ha.

I don't think Aquilani will be a liability. He wants to play for Juventus, if they don't want to buy him anymore, he will want to play for us again.. or not?  :o

Agreed ... Than again, we would have to sell Carroll either, since he has clearly stated that he would prefer to stay at Newcastle in January ...

On the other hand, it seems that the Italian media is starting to see Aquilani at LFC next season ...

Sell him. He doesn't want to be here, he's too injury prone, he's too foreign, his contract will expire in 3 years and his value will be negligable and his eyes are funny.

What point is that?

The point about the Italian press? If so then that PR is rubbish and its one report.

I am more confident than ever AA will not be a LFC player next season - So called ITK's state he will be sold.

So Mac_red put all his winnings of a very good bet on us getting 4th this season!!!! School boy betting error. Never go on a random series of bets, think each bet out if you want to be serious about it. ;)

I have nothing to sweat over - I pay my debts and if I lose it will I will certainly pay HJC.

As for the bets - I have always stated if AA comes back then great stuff and if Adam signs he will add to our squad - I trust Kenny & DC.

You don't see me creaming my pants over the thought of a player coming back. I trust our management set up when it comes to playing coming in and going.

Win, win in every way for me.

What point is that?

The one he said about Aquilani Carroll saying he would prefer to have stayed at Juve Newcastle as opposed to coming to Liverpool?

These ones

Quote
"Derek [Llambias, Newcastle's managing director] asked me to hand in a transfer request, so I was pushed into a corner and had no choice," Carroll said. "I wasn't wanted by them and they made it clear they wanted the money.

"Then I flew down in [owner Mike Ashley's] helicopter. I didn't want to leave. I'm gutted that I wasn't wanted at my home team after everything I have done and the progress I have made.

"I didn't want to leave at all. Make sure they know I didn't want to leave. The players, staff and fans were fantastic."

Would be great if Aqua comes back. It gives us options. It gvives us a player who has CREATIVITY, something the team really needs. You can see what a creative player like Suarez can do. Now bring a creative player to the midfield. It means we don't have to buy anyone for the midfield and it is settled. If we sell him we will likely go for another midfielder but that would be a shame cause Aqua already knows what it is like playing in the Premier League which is really important for the upcoming season. Players who know what the game in England is about. Also we will have more depth, and real quality in depth, it's not just like putting players up there so there is depth, no it is quality. We really need that depth. It doesn't mean Aqua is a starter, he has to earn his spot, but'I'm certain he will.
