Bournemouth are just too good.  You can't expect us to compete against that quality, especially on their home pitch.

We'll fare better against a weaker side like Real Madrid.

Well, putting that in perspective: if someone had offered you the run of results from Everton to now including the 7-0 none of us would refuse it. We have been in title winning form for 6 games, this brought us down a peg but if we keep going at this rate we'll easy make top 4.

Plus we're gonna smash Real Madrid, mark my words

Maybe if we drew against the mancs they would have turned up with a half decent attitude. Even managed to luck out and get a pen even though we created fuck all second half, and still managed to lose.

Absolutely baffling how we can go from the sublime against United to this shitshow against the last placed team within a week. Sickening from the whole team and manager.

Not baffling really. We did this for years before Klopp arrived.

One shot on target all of the second half. And it certainly wasn't that penalty. Fucking pathetic.

As frustrating as it was predictable. Our "link man" disappeared from the 15th minute onward for about 40 minutes again, and then lost the ball pretty much every time he touched it after that point, yet somehow stayed on the pitch.

Terrible substitutions again, it feels like most of our subs are pre-planned and based entirely on fitness, ignoring how the game is going. Taking over Nunez when you're a goal down and opting instead to play with two false 9's? Inspired.

We've got a couple of players in the spine of the team who can only play their game when we're on top, and it's killing us.

Subs made the game worse. Not sure where Salah went after pen miss? The same Salah who turned up last week full of effort and passion. Look like he cba.

Apart from the goal line clearance I don't think we had any other close chances. Should convert the penalty but clearly Mo is ahead of Milner in the pecking order now for whatever reason.

Thought Hendo and Bobby had very little effect and only slowed us down.

We have no tactics against deep blocks. United let us run riot. The only exception in this run was Everton where we scored from a corner.

Top 4 gone. As I have repeatedly said on here, these players are not serious . We are the most streaky and mentally fragile teams in the league. When we're on a roll we can destroy anyone - Rangers, Bournemouth, Man City, Real Madrid 1st half, and Man U 2nd half all felt the full force of this talented team. This team remind me of the spice boys team of the 90s - they will thrill at times but always ultimately let you down.

20 years down the line, we will all look back on this match, and remember it for what it is. The match that relegated Everton.

This. I was having a sneaky look at the table before it had finished. I think this result may have flushed Everton. If they dont' win today then it's going to be hard for them. If the teams around them win then it's hard to see how they get back from that.

Aside from the first fifteen or so minutes that was very poor. They came in coasting off last weekend and didn't do any of the work necessary to get a point let alone three. Say what you will about Bournemouth, but they should have got a point against Arsenal last weekend and it was completely arrogant of us to think we could just walk in there and take a win. When we look back on this season and wonder how we didn't finish in fourth place, we can look back on losses to Bournemouth, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Leeds as the reason why.

That’s the two CBs who we must keep apparently :D

Lovren at his worst wouldn’t have been as bad as Van Dijk was today, disgraceful performance.

Virgil the reason for the first and almost gave away a second. He's wank this season.

We were good for the first 20 minutes. After that abject failure.

Not testing the worst goalkeeper in the league is awful too. He even tried to replicate his antics against Arsenal with that missed punch and with a loose ball bouncing around in the Bournemouth box only Carvalho was within 6 yards of it.

Just as we'd put a nice run together, we lose to the side who I reckon still finish bottom, have our misery compounded in midweek in Madrid, and must sit on it for a couple of weeks. Big games following that too, can't see a result at City so we're going to have to take six from Chelsea and Arsenal. Away form this season just appalling.

These players are letting everyone down. They let the praise get to them, thought they were all good and didnt need to put a shift in. Deserved nothing and should hang their heads in shame. After 15 minutes we never looked like scoring. Massive mistake not having Milly take the pen.

Klopp failed today with his choices as well. It was nice with the hope that it was getting better and maybe there wasnt room for a total overhaul, but today just reaffirns that a lot has to change.

Assumed Milner would take it too. No idea why but my stomach turned when I saw Mo, one of those "mystic Meg" moments, I knew he'd miss.

I genuinely can't believe what I've just watched.

Going to be a tight scrap for 4th. Battle of who is least bad.

I had been wondering after last week if we needed as many reinforcements as I had been anticipating . It’s clearer however that a Bournemouth type performance is a more common occurrence than
Man U.

Proper competition in defence , and some leadership in midfield really vital

Over hyped, arrogant prima donna's.

Insipid all over the pitch with an awful attitude. No suprise really, we've seen this dross far too often this season.

Senior players have continuously let us down. Trent, Van Dijk, Fabinho and Mo were simply awful today. A reminder to all that changes in personal and attitude are needed in the summer.
