Very impressive considering he’s probably only had 1 proper training session with us. Very comfortable and confident and his class is clear to see. Wasn’t a penalty, but Alisson saving it killed any hope they had left so all good.

His hair is somewhat gray, past it

it’s all the aging he did the past few weeks waiting desperately for Liverpool to actually make an offer for him  :P

He has the knack of playing the right kind of pass with the right tempo and spin wherein it always sticks to whoever he's passing to. Will need to be a little more level headed with his challenges though, might just be the rush of playing for his new club, but was a bit rash with those. Don't really blame him for the pen, that was unlucky. Had a solid 45 minutes and he is going to be our gear box in the midfield who can switch it up or slow the game down with how he recycles because the moment he got on, everything seemed to be going through him.

Gonna make a real difference in breaking teams down this season. 45 mins of high quality after joining 2 days ago. A lot to look forward to.

Loved him celebrating a challenge on Kante that won us a throw in.

Yeah that little pat on the back he got and the fist pump was pretty adorable, to be fair it's hard getting the ball off Kante, still their best player probably.

Loved the ball he did to Gini, it had so much fizz in it the Chelsea players didn't have time to react.

I thought it was telling that the other players looked for him over and over. He has only been here a few days, but our Cl- and PL-winning side trust him completely. Feels a bit like VVD again. It’s just apparent to everyone he is that good.

I hadn't really watched a lot of Thiago, so didn't know what to expect but from the looks of things, he's truly world class. Some his passing is so sure and creative. And he didn't mind a tackle either. He looks absolutely top drawer and with his style of play, I can see him easily lasting well into his thirties as well.

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Everything he does is so purposeful. Even if it's a simple ball, he plays it so quickly and cleanly that it keeps us constantly probing. It's gonna make an enormous difference for us this season I have absolutely no doubt.

Even though Fabinho also does this and is really good at it, Thiago's passes are the definition of breaking the lines. As has been mentioned, it's just not the type of pass but the speed at which he plays it. Granted Chelsea had only 10 players so there were going to be gaps but there were times he found Gini and Keita (and even Firmino) in space in a way where they had time to assess their options. When we play against low block sides, that's going to be invaluable.

As Klopp himself just said, the offensive side of the game will come tremendously naturally to him. And the defensive side will be just a matter of time. I think we've got a monster on our hands.

Not to detract from a really nice performance but that couldn't have been a more perfect time to make a debut; opposition down to ten men and 2 goals up within 10 minutes, he had a lot more time than he would've had in the first half which was much more chaotic and fast-paced.

It was an ideal way for us to introduce him to the team and to English football. So exciting to have a player of his calibre join an already special team. When was the last time we went out and signed a ready made, world class player? Jurgen, his staff and the hard work of everyone at the club has seen us develop a world class team, and players like this now wanting to play for us is a reward in itself. Suddenly we have so many options.

Could watch him all night, fuck me, what a player

Has that thing that all world class players have irrespective of sporting code (thinking of cricket here) and that is that he appears to be moving at 1.1 speed compared to others - just seems to make extra time within which to execute what he wants to do

Just unreal
