Almost seems unfair.

They just controlled and dictated the game didn't they? Absolutely outstanding, he just makes everyone around him better. Didn't even realise Phillips or Kabak were playing because Fabinho just didn't let Arsenal near them ;D

The football IQ among those two is really, really high. Correct decisions 99% of the time.

Wijnaldum is of a similar ilk but my fanboy heart would love to see Fabinho, Thiago and Keita given an extended run of games at some point!

Thiago needed him in beside him to let him do what he does, pundits miss these things too, Thiago was putting in tackles in hisearly games he never does due to the defending he had to do without Fab, big difference now as thay are each others best player to have side by side.

Imperious cog in this red machine, makes Thiago be Thiago and makes the team defensively solid.

How we’ve missed Fabinho’s anticipation of winning possession inside opposition half when they are starting an attack.  He steps forward and wins it, which then leads on to most of our dangerous attacks.

Cannot be understated how we’ve missed this.

The key to Klopp's team building is to have leaders all over the park. The problem has been that the top leaders have had injuries or been playing out of position. Fabinho is a leader. He's back where he should be. It's such a game-changer...

Pretty much how I feel.We lose far too much defensively when he is in defence.

Him going in defence is like putting Paul McCartney on drums in The Beatles - will do the job fine but the band is deprived of all other talent of his and you need the man front and centre of the entire act.

And I'm not overestimating his influence in midfield. It's night and day when he's not there. Imagine the Arsenal team of old losing Vieira in midfield, or Man Utd with Keane - that's how important Fabinho is to us now.

I know this is now received wisdom and is being repeated everywhere so its not about your post.... but its really being exaggerated at the moment
He's very good but when Henderson played as our 6 last season there wasn't a change in our perofmance levels - this is partly because Henderson still gets under rated as a 6 by almost everyone -but still we've been extremely successful without Fabinho in midfield
