This is an email me and my friend have sent to Al Ansari. Desperate times call for desperate measures.


Dear Mr Sameer Al Ansari,

Please come and end this horror at liverpool FC. We don't know what's happening at LFC, all we know is that under the current regime (Hicks and Gillett), they appear to treat Liverpool like a bond or share that can be bought and sold and refinanced for profit, as opposed to an institution that comprises the hopes and dreams of millions across the globe. They use the words like 'sports franchise' and not Liverpool. They talk like professionals yet they don't know the true meaning of Liverpool. This kind of mis-management will mean that the best interest of the club will never be materialised and our great club will very shortly become a disgrace.

I don't know too much about DIC, but i am very impresseed with your portfolio of investment and the attention that the organisation pays to each of your dealings and it will be an honour for DIC and a club like Liverpool to have a healthy partnership. As a fan i know you can relate when i use words like the 'hopes and dreams'.

We are monitoring the situation and are hopeful that yourself and his honrable Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rasid Al Maktoum can come up with a situation that allows the purchase of LFC soon.

Until then, our hopes and dreams are with you.

That wouldn't offend a muslim.  More like confused them.  Because Muslims believe that the God they worship and the God the Christians worship is one and the same God (same for the Jews)... children of Abraham and all that.

A more sensible way to close the email would simply have been "May God be with you".  At least this shows a little understanding.
