I dont want poorer than Diaz, id want better. And this is in a Newcastle side that have score a lot of goals.

I know but there’s this amazing thing that can happen in football - especially when a player is aged 25 and under - they do this thing called improving, especially when they go from a mid table side to an elite side.

Diaz is currently around 0.65 npxg/xa p90 and that’s him pretty much at peak level playing for the most attacking manager in the league, in a side that gets him plenty of ball and chances

Jota at Wolves was around 0.55/0.56, when he joined us that increased by around 30-50% depending on the season.

Mane at Southampton was similar to Jota, again he massively improved once he made the step up and started to peak.

Gordon’s numbers are great for his age and relative to the level of club he plays for. It’s not unthinkable that he’s outperforming Diaz’s numbers in a couple of years, especially if/when he ends up at a top club.

Firmino's best season was when he got 15 League goals and in 8 seasons here scored 82 League goals so 10.5 per season. Not good enough.

Mane's had one season when he scored 20+ league goals and in 6 seasons scored 90 League goals so 15 per season. Not good enough for you.

Interestingly at a similar age to Nunez now in their two first full seasons playing more minutes than Nunez. Firmino got 21 goals and Mane got 23 goals. With 3 games left Nunez has 20 in his first two seasons.

So why were Mane and Firmino clearly good enough but Nunez isn't?

This is why you can't take staticos serious.

Not sure locking up your political opponents is a great look.

MP credentials do not come with a get out of jail free card.

Break the law and you go to jail, politics needs cleaning up and there's not many more qualified than Starmer.

Yeah. It's not about locking up your political opponents. It's about locking up people who have broken the law who just happen to be politicians. Of course those being investigated will claim political persecution; maybe they should try living in Russia - they don't know what political persecution is.

Andar has gone awfully quiet.

Actually watching the snooker.

Hope Arsenal do hang on though. Prefer them over City for the title.
