If it was us the fans would be cheering Arsenal on.

They won't want City winning it (United never won 4 in a row) but if it's out of Arsenal's hands anyway when they play them, then they'll be less bothered.

So ignore almost all of what I actually wrote and switch to xG per 90 now? I've seen people go down these wormholes with you before, with FSG related stuff.  You're not interested in finding an objective truth, just "winning the internet".  You cherry-pick stats such as only picking the Premier League players in your 'minutes per game' argument that support your narrative and simply ignore any point that you can't refute and instead simply move on to a fresh set of stats. I'm done. 

You posted a piece complaining about me using my opinion. So I posted a piece entirely made up of stats, now you are complaining about that.

As for cherry-picking stats. Fuck me you are calling Nunez's season at Benfica an outlier whilst stating that this season when Jota has scored 10 goals against an xG of 5.3 as normal.

Before this season they were neck and neck in terms of goals versus xG. Jota has since had a season where he hit double his xG and Nunez has had a poor season in terms of goals versus xG but has hit the woodwork a completely abnormal amount of times.

I actually think they are set with Havertz as the false 9. He has been a game changer for them since the change in January. Presses effectively from the front, immaculate first touch and link-up play is elite. He knits their attack perfectly. The best comparison to a Firmino you will see.

Sums up how lazy our recruitment had gotten that we didn't see his performances as a false 9 for Leverkusen, and sign him up as a long term replacement for Firmino.

If I was Arteta, I would be looking for the elite attacker down the left rather than in the 9 position. They need to find a Salah/Mane from the left who will chip in with 15+ league goals.

What in the hell is this shit? Why are you constantly wanking over Arsenal? You’re worse than the Arsenal posters on here, at least they only wank in the Arsenal thread.. you’re in every thread it seems bigging them up and slagging off our own players. Having a go at the club for missing out on Havertz cos he’s having a half decent season? Stop this facade you love Arsenal just admit it, we’re very welcoming on here, just as North Bank, hell, even ask Tony the Manc. Stop living a lie

I’m the opposite, we’ve needed a reset for some time, defence can’t stop conceding, too many injuries, front line going through spells of fluffing their lines far too regularly.

We were a team built around Klopps energy and that has clearly waned, so a new direction is what everyone needs as sad as that is.

Yeah it’s interesting because we can only guess from the outside. To me it feels like Klopp has lost the energy because competing with City with our resources is extremely difficult. Similar to what happened at Dortmund, and that losing him might make the difference more apparent. And the players he left behind at Dortmund never reached the same heights. Rather than the squad being stale, it’s that he’s wrung everything he could from them and a new manager might not be able to draw as much from the same players.

Hopefully Slot is great but I’ve not felt this level of apathy for a new season before but it’s hard to get excited when you’re losing one of the best fitting managers we’ve ever had.
