Kevin Richardson I think won it with the blue shite and Arsenal

The answer will be that anyone can get injured at any time.

The answer will be ‘watching the game instead of crowing about an injury’ hopefully
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

A muscle injury in the first 5 minutes is more likely with fatigue. He's 34. Given the emphasis on conditioning and sports science it was a mistake in hindsight to start him after 90 on Thursday.

Klopp will be furious after this. The schedule is a fucking disgrace. What is the point of a break in February?

Jesus christ. With as many changes as we've made, you don't think Klopp would have considered not starting him as well if he felt that he was really all that fatigued?

He might not even be injured and was just not able to continue during this game. It might have been precautionary. There's really not much more you can say about it at this point in time.

Looks like he took a hit on his lower leg more than anything. If so, I doubt it's anything other than short-term.

Klopp to Milner before the game:

"Okay Milly, in minute six you need to go down clutching your leg and I'll bring you off.  That will shut up the fans saying we need to be fielding stronger first team players and get them to trust in the kids more.  Then we can start cycling through the young lads second half of the season and the fans will feel comfortable them."

Anelka and Toure.  Maybe David May.

Toure nearly got 3  :'(

Tevez, Huth, Clichy, Henning Berg.

That's all of them.

Probably won't be a new addition after Milner (inshallah) either, for a while, unless something weird happens. I don't see one of ours going to City or vice versa anytime soon, and just about all the other players that have won the league in the last decade for Chelsea, United or Leicester are now too old (e.g. Vardy, Pedro), too shit (e.g. any number of players), or just gone overseas (e.g. Hazard).

So until there's a realignment of power in the league, I think if we win the season, Milly will be the last one for some time.

According to the BBC text commentary he is in the stands for the FA cup game against Shrewsbury.
While the rest of the squad jet off to exotic locations, he relaxes by watching the kids... Gotta love him...

Almost a shame for Milner that Critchley is clearly doing such a good job - gives every impression he'd be a great manager of one of the youth teams. Oh well, I guess he can manage dirty Leeds for a few years and come here in a decade or two...
