If we do end up signing Mac Allister, he'd start the season on the bench with Jones continuing on left hand side of midfield. There is no way Klopp will drop him with the way he's shown up over the last 2 months. But Mount goes straight in on the right hand side of midfield to replace Henderson. Would give us a lot of extra energy and also a goal threat.

Mount would do very well in Henderson’s current role.

Yup said this weeks ago. Hope we get him

Times saying Arsenal after Rice for £90m and also Caicedo, hopefully we can muscle in

Would never happen (£££) but if we added those two we'd absolutely clean up next season. Even one of them would be transormative for us.

That's probably costing Arsenal what, £160m+? Plus they'll surely be after a forward and a defender? Looks like they'll be backed with some cash, be nice if our owners could do the same... just 2-3 genuinely top class additions and we'd be right back amongst it.

Or far more likely, we will start Mac Allister on the right side of our midfield, and Mount will be playing for Chelsea or Newcastle ...

We need an athletic rcm
Mac Alistar makes no sense hopefully that link goes.
Mobile 6 still needed too

Mac Allister would play on the left though.

He would most likely
He doesnt suit us for the right sided role. Dont think we will get him doesnt make sense for us
Mount as an Rcm is more athletic

Klopp on Trent: we will have time next season to really work on his new position.”

I know I’m massively reading into this but I think we’re buying a RB. And if we do, I think it will be Timber.

We haven't changed the way Trent is defending, only the way he is attacking ...

Rice was always gunna be Arsenal- everyone is just about sick of that "saga" that's been going on for 2 windows now. Sign him or don't!
Caicedo is new though.
That would make them a force.

He probably more of a fit on the left side but He can play both.
If him and Mount are signed idk either start the opening game, Klopp tends to if he can bring players in slowly. pretty sure it 1 game a week till September anyways. Would start camp in July then

Probably would swap Jota/Nunez position wise. Replace Matip with ? type but yea.
Would probably swap Thiago/Bajcetic at least role wise but like yea probably something like that.

Yes he has. Not our version of a LCM, but he's been on the left.
He's quite versatile- look at his favored foot for the position we've seen him play in. He's been very good playing on the left and in the center.
We've only seen him operate where his managers wanted him to, but I'm sure he can operate right across midfield, given his versatility.

His last 50 matches, he apparently played 22 as a DM, and 16 as a CAM. Not sure if this is just for Brighton or just Argentina, or both.

Both hard to get the ball back from athough he's weaker. Probably impossible to be as intelligent or as humble a team player, and less likely to shut off a Zaha-type counter on the half way line channel before everyone else realises it's a threat, but you'd probably want him on the ball playing a through ball over Gini

Szoboszlai would great in that rcm role
He could even provide width and isca super athlete and a goal threat.

Cheaoer tham Mac Alisster at around 60m pounds buyout
Better player and athlete as well

Sorry wasn’t having a go at your question …. I’ve seen a lot of people equate them which is odd imo … they both keep the ball really well and make good decisions off and on it … but don’t see much similar beyond that
Macallister isn’t the elite athlete Gini was or defensively as good but he’s a much better passer and more progressive
Think Macallister is most like Jones of our current / recent players in terms of outputs (obviously they’re different physically)

Not far off I would have thought.

Remember, Elliott and Mount can play in the attacking line also.

Hendo and Mac Allister can also play in a 6 role.

Options.
