If he's refusing to play for England, shouldn't he be banned from club football like Matip was?

Doesn't really matter does it? It was only an issue for LFC because they had games while AFCON was ongoing.

Unless UEFA/FIFA really start fucking with the fixture list, Arsenal aren't going to be playing when England have games.

That video Arsenal released of their squad paying their individual tributes to Ben White for - signing a new contract - is exactly what everyone means when they talk about how cringy this club is. Did the documentary make them think they were living a real life movie that they're the main characters of? Everything is a performance. I bet they clap each player in to training every day.

Matip was threatened but never banned. Klopp didn't play him in one game because UEFA didn't clarify the rule. But Matip was untouchable, because he had retired from international football long ago.

Some games the atmosphere is red hot, newcastle and the last 10 mins against brentford, rocking . But it does need the players to get the fans going, not the other way round, don’t know if thats the same everywhere.

The last 10 mins at Brentford were rocking? I was sitting in the middle of the stadium. Sure it got loud - but rocking?

People are going on like Ben White refused a call up to fight for the country in a time of war. So he doesn't want to play for England, who gives a S. He wouldn't have got picked anyway, even though he has a strong claim to start at centre half.

I would have went TAA, White, Stones, Guehi - press resistant and good and finding forward passes (all of them). But you will probably see Maguire and Tripper in the backline regardless of how poor they are. Maguire in particular is a donkey in possession but Gareth wont be able to help himself.

---------Pickford------------------

TAA---White----Stones----Guehi

---------------Rice---------------

----Foden---------Bellingham----

Saka--------Kane-----------Grealish

The likes of Maguire, Rashford, Sterling, Mount, Kalvin just dont have the technique, passing in tight spaces and holding the ball under pressure. England have players who could keep the ball of Spain, but Waistcoat doesn't see it.

Think you're going to have to face them at some point. It might as well be over two legs to knacker you both out in the title race to give us an advantage.

Arsenal and City in the same half of the draw is all I ask. No point them meeting in the final, doesn’t help us on the league that way.

I will take City getting Real and you getting PSG or Munich as a secondary option.

Funny though, I think Arsenal are the only team really capable of beating City left in the tournament. BUT I could also see Arsenal being beaten by loads of teams left in the competition (probably everyone bar Dortmund).

I wonder if we should let slip that Steve Holland said TAA's missus is a minger (or any of our other players that might get called up).

"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Funny though, I think Arsenal are the only team really capable of beating City left in the tournament. BUT I could also see Arsenal being beaten by loads of teams left in the competition (probably everyone bar Dortmund).

The only chance would be in the final, and that would literally be a punchers chance. Frank Bruno could have beaten Mike Tyson, but very very unlikely. Arsenal laboured massively, with easy games and rest around the games, to beat the third best team in Portugal. On paper one of the poorest sides that were left in the CL, and they needed a lottery essentially. Over two legs City would/will absolutely pulverise them.

They obviously want to avoid Man City and Real. Personally if I was Arsenal I wouldnt particularly get cocky about playing Bayern or PSG because they've got players who can put them away very quickly. People take the piss out of Barca but they're still a good team, havent lost many this season and still have a lot of big players. And if they got frustrated by Porto 'shithousery' then you've seen nothing until you've played Atletico.

So really..yeah, I'd be praying for Dortmund if I was either of the English teams!

Why not? This Bayern side is nothing special. Concern for them will be Bayern's season is effectively over and these are still going blow-for-blow with ourselves and Abu Dhabi.

I could see a 2017-18-esque run from them here. Normally Real would be a concern, but they've been hit with injuries this season.

Only team of serious concern is Abu Dhabi, who will beat Real.

I can see them in final if they don't get City or Real in the semis.

When we put 5 past Porto in Portugal? :D Think we were like the third highest scoring team in CL history that season. That team was absolute carnage, they deserve more respect than being compared to this Arsenal side!
