Ah good man, at last! I occassionally wander into the other dance thread but people are always posting stuff that really isn't up my thing!
I'm into tech house, techno, deep house and the occassional bit of minimal.
By the sounds of things you'd like the whole detroit scene then. I've seen Patrice Scott and Keith Worthy play a couple of times in London and they are quality. Fantastic deep house / techno with a real groove...
hey barn owl i was very into the detroit scene when i was a young ankle biter - i'm 40 in a couple of months - and have seen all of the greats over the past 20 years with a special love for kevin saunderson in his e-dancer guise - 'the human bond' is possibly the best b-side of all time and was the last track played the first time i went to wiggle.
currently i've a few friends who've been evolving out of minimal back into something warmer - straight ahead hausdip in a few cases - and that jamie jones mix is an example of someone that i've got to know about through his early electro-house into a more complex house, techno combination.
i hesitate to say tech-house as it became codified as very stripped down drum tracks with a snare emphasis in the mid to late 90s but that little space between the two is what i like most or generally techno dj's playing house.
i also have a taste for disco and this mix is from damon martin at disco bloodbath a few weeks ago. if you're not signed in to soundcloud already its worth the effort as there is literally tons of excellent stuff up there. this also comes with a track listing for those that way inclined:
