I expect they’ll win the second leg (and league game) comfortably. Spurs peaked tonight and can’t rotate like the cheats can.

Good job Spurs have Huddersfield then, early game on Saturday as well so a bit more rest than City who're away to Palace on Sunday

Massive pressure though and Spurs are not likely to bend over and surrender like other teams. Even if the cheats get their customary early goal, they need another and are a Spurs goal away from disaster. I think they'll get through as well but I would very much like Extra Time if possible and if Spurs win, it could fuck the cheats up psychologically. A Palace draw or win on Sunday would also be most welcome  :D

David Silva absolutely invisible tonight. Aguero had a shocker too. And Pep after his team does nothing of note makes a double substitution to bring on de Bruyne and Sané ... on 89 minutes.

Worst case scenario that, Spurs blew their load in the first leg, no way they are getting anything from the next two games now.

I see it completely differently, delighted they beat them, after we beat them in the league last year we beat them twice again afterwards. Might be something in that as they'll have gained a lot of confidence and belief.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

Spurs will still need something from the league game.regardless of if they get through or not. Apparently tonight was a proper war of attrition though, Spurs didn't give them a minute to rest and City had to respond. That's just what we needed as it's really hard to go from low intensity games to high intensity games one after the other. In theory this means City will be more on the ball for the Palace game, but that also means they expend more energy just to keep up the routine. City have had training sessions for matches for months and much like whenever PSG have to suddenly up the intensity when they play in the Champions League it doesn't always happen. What we need to hope it that City can't just flick that switch on either.

disagree, City have to go all out in the second leg, they have to win that and hopefully they blow themselves out in a lung busting extra time win.  They need to win as that's the best case scenario for us as it means Spurs have to then target the top 4 and City might take their eye off the ball in their quest for a first CL.

It's important that Spurs and Utd have only the top 4 for left to aim for
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.

Game over in 90 minutes would be better, league game is 3 days later and City have far better options for rotating, hopefully they take their eye of the game on Sunday though

I assume neither David Silva or Fernandinho will be at Man City at the start of next season as both have just started to tip over.  No doubt City will make a couple of heavyweight summer signings (although they've missed out on Jorginho and Frenkie de Jong recently so it's not a given) but replacing that much quality and experience won't be easy.

I mean it's the luck of the draw, of course, but the hilarious thing is their tragic tantrums about our "luck" this season. Irony deficiency is off the chart.

I don't buy the "the luck of the draw" BS..... Qatar got the world cup ffs football is corrupt to the core and these fuckers have bottomless pockets.
Soccer - let's face it, its not really about a game of ball anymore is it?

Massive pressure on cardigan now. The sheiks only care about the CL, they want it so fucking bad and Pep will be shitting his boots now.

Gonna be so distracted playing Palace and under so much pressure not to fuck both up. Pep consistently fucks up when he's under pressure and he'll be under a shit ton now.

I think that rotation before the game and arguably through the game shows Guardiola has no intention of taking his eye off the PL. He saves Aguero’s legs and doesn’t bring KDB or Sane on until 89 minutes - he is trying to manage his squad to go hard in both the League and CL, I just think it didn’t quite work last night. Maybe the difference was a Bernardo Silva or Sane for Mahrez last night but they are still right in this tie. If they can replicate the first 30 mins v Liverpool (2nd leg) then Spurs are done for IMO. They seem to have run out of midfielders at the wrong time and now injuries have hit them.
