Appreciated this may be controversial, but Daniel Craig’s Bond. My least favourite. Too many of his films feel the same (retired/left the service, comes back, then goes rogue). I think he’s too po faced and serious, they don’t even feel like Bond films half the time, no gadgets, little humour, he looks like a doorman in a 5 grand suit. And it does my head in how they had to make them into a linked series, to the point where they made Blofeld his half brother in the last one, who’d masterminded everything in the previous three films? Not having that.
I think they tried to move away from the silliness of invisible cars, but ended up making British Jason Bourne films, they lost some of the things people look for in Bond films. I think Mission Impossible is a lot more entertaining in comparison, and more like watching Bond really, an adventure, loads of stunts etc, without taking itself too seriously.
(If there’s a rocket powered gondola in No Time To Die I may reappraise the whole thing. I’m off to get some Sunny Delight).
