In a thread such as this I understand pretty much everything will eventually be listed, but here's a controversial and maybe unpopular opinion.....
Daniel Craig's Bond. Not for me.
Great actor, but the moody Bond character with a face like a slapped arse never worked for me. Half the time I'm asking "what's his problem?"... He doesn't have the 'look', he looks more suited to a Bond rival.
Then you have scenes where he and a lass fight off a baddie and having just dispatched him they collapse back and she asks him "What do we do now?" and immediately scene cuts to them on the bed. If that was Roger Moore people would be up in arms about how corny that is.
Hugely successful films I know, but the Craig Bond movies are defo not for me.
Casino Royale is brilliant. It's also the one that goes against the grumpiness you mention.
All three films since then have been Bond going rogue in one form or another. The more recent two focus on him ageing. That leads to him walking round overly moody, like you mention.
I love Skyfall, but it's weird how they went from Craig's Bond making his first kill in Casino Royale, to suddenly being over the hill two films later.
The women in Bond films are a total waste at this point. I'd rather they weren't there. Most criminally of all was the pointlessness of Monica Belucci in Spectre. One of the most beautiful and elegant actresses they've ever cast...used up in a matter of moments. When I heard she was the oldest ever Bond girl I got my hopes up that we would get a more complex relationship than usual. Not the case. Bond meets her, she can't resist him, Bond shags her, Bond leaves.
