New stadium looks nice, although obviously a bit Americanised.

Guess what, not sure if you's have read this, as I've rarely seen it mentioned, but apparently its better than The Emirates.

It's almost as if spending more than double the money & being nearly 15 years later, this has come as a surprise, at least I assume its that as I'm not sure why its even needed to be mentioned in nearly every article. It's almost as if there might be an underlying inferiority complex there.

£5.50 for a pint of Beavertown Gamma Ray is cheap for London. I hope they have that in the away end, it's my favourite beer.

I'm jealous of them having a beavertown microbrewery and taproom in the stadium:

Looks great...but something  about modern stadia leaves me cold it's in the delivery of a compete facility rather than over time...it's like a brand new housing estate, modern design looks great but compared to a housing are a developed over time piecemeal....which delivers more character.

I'm not rubbishing the Spurs Stadium...guess I'm just an old traditionalist who wants stadiums to exist as vessels waiting to be filled with humanity not events in themselves.

Some will consider Anfield already behind so many modern stadia on various ways and it will probably will always be so...as it it will also remain one of the small handful of legendary stadia in the world.

I would imagine there will be the main Beavertown beers like neck oil and gamma ray available throughout the stadium, with the more specialised stuff only in the tap room. Heineken are Spurs official beer provider and they bought a £40m stake in Beavertown last year.

Seems to be £5 Heineken; £4 Amstel; £5 Neck Oil and £5.50 Gamma Ray/Guinness a pint.

That's what I was thinking as well, those prices aren't bad at all (especially for the Beavertown stuff) for London.

I prefer the old stadia really like ours as well I guess being a bit of a traditionalist, and liked the old WHL, but as modern grounds go whilst it's a bit NFL looking it looks decent.

It's a nice stadium, though not the most imaginative.

The plan seems to have been.

1. Build Arsenal's stadium
2. Make it blue
3. Write "THE GAME IS ABOUT GLORY" in as many places as possible

I've walked around it a number of times during it's construction and it's really very good. Expensive, but good. It's the best stadium in Europe until something else gets built (in my opinion).

My personal favourite bits are the brewery, the sky lounges and restaurant (which will be run by Michael Roux and is aiming for a Michelin Star), the engineering of the double pitch and the single tier stand modelled on Dortmund. The helipad and bridge into the stadium is a nice touch too.

Are they contractually tied in? I thought its a commercial decision to pay off the stadium but I don't see any contractual details?  - Wonder if the rent from us and Chelsea (if they ever move) means they could move away any sooner.

2 of those 3 are in London though, which sort of defeats the idea of allowing fans from up north not having to travel down south.

But it was the fun of being on a neutral ground, with it taken up by both fans..we played semis at Arsenal and Spurs when playing south coast Clubs...to be honest think Villa and Newcastle and City also options....not Anfield...dont want any away fan twats on the Kop. :D

It was necessary when Wembley came in late and over budget, they needed enough big games to be played there to cover the losses. Probably not the case any longer, you'd imagine. The NFL games probably make more than a semi final.

Agree entirely.

I'd like to see a new stadium that is truly original. This Spurs ground is very nice, but it's really not all that different to Arsenal's. That's not intended as an insult to the club, a big part of me is jealous about this impressive new structure. If I were a Spurs fan I'd be giddy with excitement about the place. I do think there's room for something truly original though.

For example this for me will always be the most beautiful sports stadium, and there's nothing quite like it...

I think that they're mental to spend so much and even crazier to have allowed Levy to manage the project,he might be good with transfers but he has cost them a fortune with his mismanagement of the stadium.

Yeh. I'm with you on this. Spurs new place looks fine as it goes. But I prefer either the older style, organically developed over time, or something totally way out new - with the caveat that what looks cool today may seem very dated in a few years.

I can't say I am overly into, or even get the need for so many food / drinks options at a stadium like this. Well, I get the need for it - they make money from it, plus of course, I get the need for it for NFL. But for football, it just doesn't interest me in the slightest. But then, when I was still living in the UK, and went to anfield a lot, I'd be one of those fans who legged it from the pub 15 mins before a game  :P

Different for for the other sports I'll go watch like baseball and hockey, where you are probably going to be in the arena/stadium for 3/4 hours plus at times, and a sport that has multiple breaks.

I suppose if it encourages fans to get in earlier and then into their seats earlier, then that could be good.  Although not good for the local pubs and chippys, if there are any  :D

Yeh. I'm with you on this. Spurs new place looks fine as it goes. But I prefer either the older style, organically developed over time, or something totally way out new - with the caveat that what looks cool today may seem very dated in a few years.

Is that caveat a usual one?
