Liverpool Echo, online forum, is now carrying adverts for The S*n Fantasy Football

My guess is that the Echo forums are run differently to their website but in the same to the icNetwork boards and from time to time these type of ads slip through the net.

Click Liverpool has a strict filter to block anything connected to the S*n but occasionally one slips through the net because they have linked up with another company for a promotion (e.g. Debenhams).

Could we please re-iterate YET AGAIN.

We request all members of this site to desist from posting stories that have originated from either of those two rags. If people persist in posting links or stories originating from those rags, your stay at RAWK towers will be very short indeed.

The rest of the members and moderators are busy enough as it is without these links or stories appearing. We have more pressing matters at hand than having to read what Bascombe has made up.

If you don't like censorship or want to readbthen rags then come to Liverpool and read them and see what happens. Why does anyone have to justify why we hate them two rags? There's freeness of speech and opinion but anyone who reads or takes offence at this rule does not care for the people or the city or the club or mostly the 96.

that's something that has been debated in depth on a few occasions and not only on here but other sites and probably in many a pub.My own opinion is that to extend the ban to other media outlets other than the 2 rags would in fact dilute its effect.

Very different issues. The aforementioned papers are very closely linked, not least through advertising which includes both their names and insignia in promotions.

If you boycotted any remotely connected to News International whether it be the Times, Sky or other, the current and only boycott in place would be highly diluted to the point that people lost sight of why there is a boycott in the first place.

Mod's are on record about how good a job Bascombe did on the debt story (though it was picked up a week late due to the ban)

The Sky link to the 2 rags is a tenuous one and as was already said, would dilute the notion of the 'real' boycott.

I did switch channels once though when K***** M******* was on the 'Would I Lie To you?' comedy panel show.  You couldn't make the irony up!
