Only way we're going to win this is if Luis Suarez plays a blinder. I want to see Carroll starting up there to drag defenders apart and Kuyt and Maxi to take advantage of any loose balls in the penalty area. Carragher and Coates for me because it's a left-footer and a right-footer who play left and right centre and it's one young and one experienced. Spearing and Gerrard. Enrique and Kelly. Probably get a draw. 2-2.

Anyone seen this?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17357088

The Scottish Football Association will write to Uefa to express concern about the scheduling of Tuesday's Liverpool versus Everton match.
St Johnstone and Hearts were prevented last month from switching a Scottish Cup replay to a Thursday because it clashed with Europa League fixtures.
And yet the Merseyside derby - live on satellite TV - is in direct competition to Champions' League action.
A Uefa spokesman said: "The English have totally ignored our rules."

The McDiarmid Park game would have been televised, so the decision not to go ahead cost Saints and Hearts £82,500 each.

Bizarre - Doubt well get stung for the cash but its UEFA you never know- an x percent of ticket sales?

I want Adam to play. He is ridiculously frustrating and to be honest, doesn't look good enough. But he was one of the few who were trying to make something happen last weekend.

People are also forgetting that last Saturday was probably only our 4th shit performance this season. On the whole I think we've been quality this year and until a rough one, which happens to everyone, the only problem we had was how to shoot about 1cm further towards the inside of the post.

I'd like to see Carroll get some more starts along with minutes for Spearing, Coates and Henderson but other than that just carry on what we're doing.

                     Pepe

Kelly       Carra     Skrtel      Enrique

             Spearing   Adam

Henderson   Gerrard    Suarez

                    Carroll

1-0 Kuyt, think we'll get a pen but dunno if we'll put it away, one of our CBs to get sent off

He's very capable with both feet.

Nope, but his best position is as a left sided centre half.

While I agree about Skrtel I'm sure you can understand the reasoning. He doesn't play terribly well with Carragher when he's forced to play on the left side. At no point did I insinuate that I think Skrtel isn't better than either of them but a good team is made of stronmg partnerships.

Not nearly as much as him, not even close and I know she's got all her deals and what not but being with him means she's in no danger of losing the limelight. Seems obvious to me.

To put it frankly, I don't care about who plays or not, so long as we smash this horrible bunch of moaning, whining, smalltime shitstains into last Wednesday.

Can't believe that tickets were on general sale today. Wtf?!

 :o

Had loads of piss-taking because of that.

I've been getting leathered all week because of this. They've been on general for over a week now and our site has been listing exactly how many are left on a daily basis.

There was 3,400+ left as of Friday, my bitter mate has been texting me the amount left, each day.

He'd rather it didn't sell out then them win IMO, ill never hear the end of it. bitter bastard!

Coates and Skrtel is fine, both get to play in their best positions and both are actually good defenders.

The atmosphere is going to be apocalyptic in terms of noise, so the lads have no reason not to play for the shirt. But so help me if one of them slacks off. I'll fly to Liverpool myself and beat his brains in.

Beyond the allure of the derby, this game could be make or break in terms of the league and how the league sees us, and more importantly how we see ourselves. Of course we can smash Everton easy, but dropped points has been our luck at home. We should've won, but didn't. Seems to be the story of the year. But I think that beating the blueshites today will not only give us a boost of confidence heading into Stoke, but it'll show our opponents that we're still tough and we can still play.

But it'll be the games after today that I think determines where we truly stand this season. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Kick off the football and beat the piss out of 'em!
