Konate didn't look good, built like a brick shithouse but muscles made of quavers. I'm hoping Gomez was taken off as he'll be playing left back judging by Robbo's performance tonight.
Great win though apart from the injury worries but I guess it wouldn't be a game without that
Why can't Tsimikas play LB? I thought he was excellent before his injury.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Why would Gomez play at LB when we currently have two fit LB's?

You wouldn't.

He would start CB and then you play Robbo or Kostas.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

I need to visit Specsavers again if that was offside

I don't really get it, where are the lines? Looked more onside than the bloke who scored against us for Saint Gilloise.

Joe at CB if Ibou is out. Joe owned Haaland in the same game last season.

I’m fairly confident this will be the team v City;

           Kelleher
Bradley, Gomez, VVD, Kostas
       Szob, Endo, Mac
       Mo, Darwin, Diaz

I’d play Quansah as CB and Gomez at either left or right back

Robbo really needs to cut out this mad pressing which leaves his position completed exposed if he’s starting against City.

I should be happier with a 5-1 win but potential injuries and our really poor defending, before City, is really deflating this for me.

Jurgen should have taken off Konate at half-time

Nah, we'll need him at CB at the weekend, with Ibou out. As much as I like Quansah, I'd rather have Joe there against City

Perfect result, we looked phenomenal out there. I choose to believe any substitutions were to keep players fresh for the weekend.

More than fine.

The Gomez of last season would have been a worry, but the new and improved version is ready for this. In fact he started the City game last season. He was brilliant and possibly man of the match.

Salah has to start though. Fully expect him to considering he got some minutes in the end as prep.

I'd like to think Gomez and Konate were taken off as precautions, but I'm all out of injury optimism since the Brentford game.

Fantastic win, means that all we have to negotiate now is the City game and then a lovely 3 week break until the next league match. The FA Cup is a free hit as far as I'm concerned.

The Konate injury is going to be the new Jota vs Midtjylland.

Not even remotely the same thing though is it. One was a dead rubber group stage game, the other the away leg of a knockout tie.

Surprised Konate Mac and Nunez didn’t come off at half-time when we were 3-0 up. Losing Konate will be a massive blow for Sunday.

He has stepped up admirably but think it is asking too much of him.

He has a mistake in him which could cost us.

Let’s see if Konate can start against City and if he can’t then start Gomez in his place with Bradley and Robertson as full backs.

We have Salah and Szoboszlai back which is great. Kelleher is playing well as are Mac Allister and Wataru.

People underestimated them going into the game. They caused us a lot of problems. A weaker lineup and they find it easier.

Are we really dropping Robertson after one poor game? Thought he's been excellent since he's come back.
