Some observations from the season to go chart:

We can drop 9 points and make 90 points, so 3 losses, a loss and 2 draws, 4 draws and end up with 91.
After Arsenal we'll have already played 3 of the 9 top 10 matches.  Ex Luton, we've been perfect so far against the bottom 10.  Looks like 90 is very possible for us.

Arsenal can only drop 4 points and make 90.
They have not played any top 10 teams yet.
They've had a loss and a draw against the bottom 10.  I'd say there is no chance Arsenal makes 90

City can drop 7 points and make 90.  So, a loss & 2 draws or 3 draws and end with 91
They have only played Newcastle in the top 10.
Like Arsenal, they've suffered a loss & a draw against the bottom 10 (with Brentford still from the 1st half of the season to play)

If we beat them at home it's ours.  If we draw I still think it's ours.

City game will be crucial.  Shame we are away in Europe on Thursday before we play them most likely on the Sunday.

Luton home game been moved the midweek before Chelsea Final.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

We have 6 of next 10 at home, 3 of 4 aways vs bottom half…good string of matches for us to put points on the board!

So do City but both there home games and their aways are against better sides than who we face. It also might be better Arsenal and Villa to still be in the picture when they go to City cos the more teams that can take points of them the better for us.

City have won 6 in a row, despite that the form chart for the last 10 has LFC & MCFC both on 7 wins 2 draws & a loss, 23 points each.

Even going to the last 12, so 1/2 the season so far, LFC has 27 points and City 25 points.

In other words, we're both accumulating points at a pretty equivalent rate.

I'll post this weekend's update next week, but then, like some of the squad, I'm not available until after the international break.

Off to Rome for a bit.

Are we not on 85 points for equivalent as we can only make 9 points up on last seasons results? (Utd - 3, Palace - 2, Fulham - 2, Everton - 2)

Nope, we lost to Leeds @ home, equiv to Sheff Utd.

Sheffield United is being used as the Leeds equivalent who won at Anfield last season.

So, LFC & Arsenal going at 2.50 ppg for the 2nd half of the season so far, 95 points over 38 matches.....City @ 91 points (2.40 ppg)

That's how tough this season's been so far.

Ah right thought it was Southampton as they were the bottom team on last years results list, I should’ve realised!

A win against SU tomorrow takes us to 10 wins, a loss & a draw in the last 12....98 points/season run rate!

Lot's of shouts about having to go perfect to win the title, this is what it means to do it:

LFC: would be 17W 1L 1D for the 2nd half or 104 pts seasonalized.  Going a bit further back 21-1-3 or 100 pts rate

Arse: same as LFC for 2nd half @ 17-1-1 or 104 pts rate

MCFC: 16-0-3 for 2nd half or 102 pts rate.  Going a bit further back 19-0-4 or 101 pts rate.

Are 3 teams capable of putting up these numbers for such an extended period of time?

Equivalent says City dropped 7 points on their remaining fixtures last season and they are down on the rest of their results, so there’s a bit of hope yet.
