Looks like a Liverpool Centre Half to my eyes.

That makes the squad look a good bit more robust.

Great first start and the best defender on show, very good on the ball and knew when to not take risks.

Didn't put a foot wrong. Not sure how serious his injury is otherwise I'd imagine he's in line to start against LASK

Really good first start and didn't look out of place at all.

Said it in the HT thread he was basically the only just doing the basics and not giving the ball away cheaply in the first half.

Great first start for him in red with many more to come I’m sure.

Struggled 1st half with pace game. 2nd half adjusted and was very good . Real good signs from his performance. Injury momentum killer .

I know there is a tendency to hype up young players after decent performances but I was very impressed by a number of aspects to his game. Its true he wasn't afraid to stick to the basics but looked very composed and good with the ball in the right moments. Looks a great prospect.

He didn't struggle in the 1st half, at least he didn't relative to his teammates.

Re the injury, wasn't it just cramp?

I was nervous when I saw that he was starting by he was unbelievable for such a young player. I remember praising his passing against Newcastle and it was very good today as well.

He struggled with pace game first half  . Got roasted 3 or 4 times . Was excellent on ball first half . Second half started winning tackles and getting blocks in I thought he was way better 2nd . Might save us a few quid .

I thought he was excellent.
Really only had one mistake on mistiming the jump to clear the ball where Cuhna didnt even get the shot off in the 6 yard box. Im going to expect a 20 year on his full debut to make a mistake or 2. He young he fixed it up after that. Super comfortable in possessions.

Quansah and Matip both have dribble past against   them in the game.
Gomez has 3 per the stats.
Matip was not very good on the first goal.
the midfield turning over so much was an issue that doesnt help the centerbacks

First Premier League start and he didn't let anyone down. If that's his base level with no experience, I can't wait to see him with games under his belt and more strength and stamina in his body.

Looks like we've got ourselves a good un here. Really exciting the amount of quality we have in the set up now, even more so the fact that a lot of them are only in their early 20's. The future looks bright.

Tremendous work. Keep developing him, he's got something. Looks like he fits in there and didn't look like a kid making his debut.  Outperformed 3 internationals he was playing with for most of the game imo.
I don't agree, he'd go to Legoland. Bye.

Shows what a talent he is that he was surrounded by some pretty poor performances in the first half yet he maintained his composure and came in at half time without having put a foot wrong. Excellent first start for him.

Very calm and composed for such a young player, and did really well under a lot of Wolves pressure first half. Playing in a changed defence away from home isn't easy, and he didn't look out of place at all.

Maybe Jurgen decided to put his faith in him instead of buying a CB in the summer. So far it's certainly not been the defensive crisis some were expecting this season.
