Hiya mate, I've looked at your Facebook page a few times and note that you take a lot of candid shots of what appears to be random strangers in the street.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever taken offence and maybe started shouting you or even demanded you delete the photo?
There's more on my instagram.
https://www.instagram.com/ness.andrew/And no, nobody has ever started shouting at me. Not yet, anyway.
I've had someone contact me once about a picture I'd put online, saying they weren't happy with it. I took it down. And yesterday a woman asked me what I was doing, so I told her and she said she didn't want pictures of herself shared, so I deleted the shot of her from the camera in front of her. If it's clear that someone does not want me to take a photo then I won't, I'm not paparazzi.
I did have one old guy once try to tell me it was illegal (it's not) but I hadn't even taken any of him.
Most people seem to be fine with it.
I only shoot in the city centre, really, where there are thousands of cameras anyway. And I make sure that I'm visible, nothing to hide.
I did go along to the Africa Oye festival last month, I'd only just got the camera out when the police came over for a "little talk" , but they were concerned about someone taking pictures of kids, which is something I tend to avoid, not because there is any law against it, but because I don't need the hassle.
