It's a case of a championship squad having a brief sojourn in the top division before returning to their usual league. Hopefully they'll use the money earned wisely to keep them in the promotion hunt in 24/25.

I don't think Luton are championship level, they're league 1 level that have well overachieved, but quite happy taking the money from being in the premier league.

Totally bizarre this, sterling starting the season looking well. weird. Wont last wouldn't think.

the rest of that squads a Frankenstein mash up of too old, too young and too expensive to be expected to run.

and yes they are make me a little queasy already.

Minimal end product so far though.

Clinton Morris gets a breakaway pass  his first touch takes him to the corner flag  :butt

The money will go towards their new stadium. They're going to end up being one of the worst PL teams ever, but at least they're not being unrealistic.

This ref would have carded a Luton player for that challenge.

Is it me or is Enzo really just a good player.

Really, for what Luton look like, I would be worried about Chelsea against solid mid table teams all season.

Chelsea have a “play down to the competition” look about them.

Geez that guy walked right past Colwill a few minutes ago..

How is it Chelsea are only marginally better than these? crazy.

Apparently the entire Luton squad cost 20 million quid. only 7 of them came in on a fee. likewise the wage bill was 5 million a year last year maybe double that now max. Bohelys shifting north of 150m on wages.

I hadn’t realised Enzo had only played a handful of games in Europe before joining Chelsea, and not that many in South America. That fee is insane.

If Chelsea had a plan then they would be good as they have lots of good players but end up with Gallagher playing.

Enzo escaped about three bookings.

Look at the state of their bench. Considering what they've spent, Chelsea should have incredible depth. Even more amazing that Lavia can't get on it.
