I'm about 50% of the way through. As I've got more skills and equipment i have tended to use the camps to go back to previous areas to finish them off. 3 if the levels are 100% finished and the rest are 88-95% finished because when I reach the end, I know I won't be arsed to go back and finish them so I'll do it now and make the most of a game that doesn't appear to be as big as I thought it might.

Really enjoying it though. Hope they make another.

I'd say about 50%? If you check your map it says what % of the game is complete, that's what mine was roughly at that point.

I assume it relates to story though and not everything.

Cheers - I thought it was going to be another of those games where you complete the story and the wholee game is still only 55% done (like ACIII). Good to know.

that 50% means 50% but he could be 60-70% through the actual game, the 50% means he might not have picked up documents or relics in earlier areas

Finished it last night. I stand by my initial impressions of the game and of the reviews I've seen, the Machinima one is closer to the truth than most others, although a 6/10 is a little bit too harsh given the game's polish. But for me, that's the thing: the polish is just a veneer to mask what a shallow, linear experience this game was, summed up in entirety by the anti-climatic ending. Epic boss encounter, you say? Here, have a lovely 2 button QTE instead. It was also just far too easy. I couldn't give a toss about the relics, or finding the Tombs, of which just aren't even worth the time anyway. My biggest gripe, though, was for a game supposedly pitching the character development of the main character as "a survivor", there certainly wasn't much of an arch there. Lara had gone from someone who falls over a lot (and continued to do so throughout) which made her initially seem vulnerable because she gets wounded in the first event, to a full blown indestructible female version of Rambo in literally a matter of the first few moments of the game. Prophet in Crysis ain't got shit on Lara, even with all his Nanosuit tech. So much for the survivor element. You're required to hunt and shoot a single deer which is in your face from the outset and that's that over. Rambo mode active from there on in. It did have it's good moments, but those were too few and far between. The level at night in the forest was as close as the game came to offering at least a degree of variety in the gameplay, but it was too short lived. Damp squib for me. It looked nice, though. 7/10

Very close to the end now and was just curious because I'm planning on going back to try and get the 100%, do enemies respawn when you fast travel back to the previous parts of the island?

They spawn a little bit in certain areas. Like Shanty Town for example.

I haven't bothered going back round for tombs or collectibles - don't know if I will either. There was a lot of depth in the game but I liked it didn't force certain things on you (e.g. trapping animals etc. in ACIII). Thought it was a solid effort in all. Very rich environment, certainly some of the best in this gen. At times though it made Lara stand out like cardboard when it panned to her face - it was just missing some polish in certain scenes - but minor gripes anyway.

Loads of enemies in there - few too many really. Very good reboot though and can't wait to see what they do next. I'd like to see the game get adaptively harder as well. No baby sitting QTE sequences, after you've done done 20 or so, no more prompts. Less things highlighted in 'detective mode'. Tombs that are a bit more difficult.

One of the best games of this genre - up there with UC2

I'd give it a 7/10, no more. Decent game and i've enjoyed playing it. I finished the story with 82% complete and to be fair, i'm not going to be going back to get 100% as i just don't care about that kind of thing.

My main gripe with the game is the secret tombs. Which were shit. I can let the rest of the game off as it's an origin story and couldn't really be like the first couple of tomb raider games because of that. Bu twith the secret tombs they had the opportunity to give the fans of the old tomb raiders something to get our teeth into. Instead it was, get into the tomb and just get to that ledge there. Fucking awful design for them and it's the part of the game i'm honestly really, really dissapointed with.

My hope is that they take what can only be called a successful reboot and move it away from being a carbon copy of Uncharted and make the game more like the original tomb raider. Less action, way more puzzles.

Right, time to sell this and buy something else.
And when you find yourself along the untrodden path
Remember me with a smile, a drink, a gesture or a laugh
And a toast for the man who loves every hour of every day
And a feast for the friends and faces met along way

Very solid title this a lot they can build on, I agree that the game was a breeze.I should have played on hard because normal felt like easy.

The tombs should be more complicated In future, similar to previous  assassins creed games which took 10mins plus.

Finished it today with a 93%, can't be arsed doing the extra 7. As someone who's never played any of the Uncharted games, and who loved playing the original, I found it very very fun. Enjoyed the story, the gameplay was different from the originals, more 'cinematic', but as I say, I don't play many of these Uncharted-esque games so I was still kind of fresh to it. Not perfect, but a welcome return for one of the queens of video games.

To be honest they've definitely moved away from the puzzle aspects. It's more of an adventure game now with puzzle elements than the old PS games.

Still a hellava game though, if you enjoy it pick up Rise of the Tomb Raider next, thought it was absolutely epic and one of my fave games last year!

There's a little bit of puzzling but nothing like the original series.

We must have spent hours in our teens trying to work out where to go and what levers to pull and the like.

I thought Rise of the Tomb Raider was graphically stunning too, there's a moment in a water filled chamber where the sunlight filters in and catches you in the eye and the whole place lights up, magic that! The image below doesn't do it justice but then I was playing it in 4k ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm close to the end now Titi but really enjoying it. Its an action packed game that's for sure. Lots of cool, good looking environments and locations too.

Nothing too testing to be honest but a really enjoyable game to play

Quite enjoying the hidden tombs on each map as they have a nice bit of puzzling.

Will be playing Rise of the Tomb Raider next (after Wolfenstein: Old Blood)

Might be controversial, but I think Tomb Raider is better than Uncharted 1-3.

Rise of the Tomb Raider isn't quite as good as Uncharted 4 but that's a very high standard. It's still a really enjoyable game.

Hope they stick with this direction for the next installment. The only thing that needs improving is the supporting cast, who have been appalling in both games.
