Not anywhere in the article has SAF said Rooney is equal to Pele..He didnt even stated Rooney is the best British footballer..those are the words of the author of the article and not SAF.. All SAF said was there are similarities between Pele and Rooney in attribute and style of play in some aspect..but he did not state that those attributes are on equal terms with legendary Pele..that goes the same with the other great british player he mentioned..but on that note..SAF did said Rooney has extra attributes others dont which makes him the best British player in which i think he's right.

Seriously though, and as much as I hate to defend the bacon-faced alchy, if you read what he said carefully, you'll see he only talks of some attributes: speed, strength and determination and Rooney does have all of those things.
