Some crazyness went on earlier today in a UEFA youth league game between Olympiacos and Bayern.

Bayern where up 4-0 with about 5 mins to go, and then a group of Olympiacos Ultras started launching flares onto the pitch then they attacked some Bayern fans with bats, injuring 4 of them.

Ref stops the game, but a little later the teams come back out for the final few minutes, and basically all stand around in the centre circle for 5 mins doing rondos till the ref blew the final whistle.

just ridiculous!

Credit the young Olympiacos players though for going to the Bayern fans afterwards.

Here's a clip of the two teams doing rondos together at the end!

I have yet to watch a Leverkusen game and come away thinking that anybody should spend £80m+ on Havertz.  He's just such an odd player, he's not a midfielder but he's also not an out and out striker.  His non-penalty xG+xA per 90 is less than .5 which is pretty average.

Anyway, as far as this game.  Think Atletico would look a better if they weren't playing with a corpse on the field called Diego Costa.

So he's basically Firmino, then (without the goals and assists?)

Last season he had 20 goals, 7 assists in 42 appearances, this season he's struggled

He’s just a kid right? Be very surprised if he’s not on our radar, having a bit of an off season might not be the worst thing in the world.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Glad somebody else said it, as he's a bit of a favourite round here.  ;D

I think I posted something similar in the transfer thread in the summer - he's a bit Ballack-esque, in that he doesn't have any massively stand-out skills, but he has a knack of being in the right place at the right time, and pretty solid at most things on a football pitch. If anything, I'd say Havertz first touch is a bit ropey for the PL, but hey, I'm no talent scout!

He's only 20, has already played a 100 bundesliga games though.

Lot of pressure on young shoulders now, he's basically the main man in his team,  more so cos Julian Brandt left in the summer.

I'm sure he'll be ok, he's had a rough start to the season (same for Jadon Sancho by the way at Borussia Dortmund), it happens.

We're always on the lookout (at least as a fanbase) for players to replicate Firmino's role, and a half-midfielder/half-striker is definitely someone we should be looking at. It's essentially a free attacking role, and there aren't a lot of creative players who are comfortable leading the line when needed, and digging into midfield when needed as well. I'm sure we're keeping tabs on him, though.
Better looking than Samie.

I can see someone embarrassing like Tottenham knocking them out in the knockout stages whilst being managed by Sol Campbell and on their way to finishing 6th in the league and then being photographed with Harry Redknapp and Serhiy Rebrov afterwards.

Galatasaray just missed a great chance to take the lead in this one, probably should have scored really.

This is his 2nd season there.

He signed on a free in that summer when they where not able to splash loads of cash cos of FFP.   And Thomas Tuchel knew him from when he played for Mainz.
