We have a 'winning' thread, but that doesn't really weigh up what we have lost and (ha ha ha ha ha ha) gained.

Might be worth keeping a balance somwhere.


I'll start. These inbred fuckwits that voted for economic annihilation and this c*nt of a supposed government have made it so we are out of EuroTom when the results look more and more promising.

The economy is down about 19 billion per year*

or 365M a week - which is quite close isn't it to the bus figure - only they got their sums the wrong way round  ;D

* the governments own figures also in the FT, BBC, etc. (not COVID related, or anything else, just Brexit).

One a trip to Belgium for the day. Doing it in February as the queues at passport control at diver and Calais are several hours otherwise.

Trucks bound for Ireland that used to come in via Hull and Dover etc then cross at Holyhead now just go across to the nwest corner of France and get the ferry to Cork. Keele Services used to be rammed of a weekend with foreign HGVs on rest, now its dead, they must lose about £2k in parking fees alone every weekend on the North bound side alone
