He even apologised to the Watford keeper at the end!
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Good lyric PoP but don't look back when there's a negative element, only positive. Fuck the leavers and unbelievers, sing about now. Seriously, Coutinho needn't be ever mentioned again except in a season overview about how he fucked Jürgen Klopp's plans and was a scab in August 2017.

Yeah, but that doesn't scan ;D

I was disappointed with the CL draw as I wanted Barca, Real or Bayern for some real European glamour but I'm just so happy I get to see Mo in the flesh every couple of weeks anyway. I was sad when Phil left cos some stardust went with him but Mo is reaching Suarez-esque levels already. Whatever happens this season it's been a pleasure & privilege to watch & I say this as an auld arse of 45 years supporting.

If Salah could smash the 31-goal threshold set by Shearer, Ronaldo and Suarez in his debut season, from a wide position after so many wrote him off as a "Chelsea reject" at the start of the season, that'd make me extremely happy. 7 games to score 4 more goals? It seems likely ;D

It is absolutely nuts how good he is.

When we got him, I thought we were getting 10-15 goals from him this season and I would have been made up with that. He is a monster. So much better than anyone outside this club seems to realise. He is genuinely one of the very best players in the world this season.

If the opinions are "This lad is gonna get 20 goals this season" and "Nah, I think he's good for 25 in all competitions" then they might be right.
I thought I was being optimistic when I wrote that back in September in response to the press saying Salah was "dividing opinion among fans". Turns out I was way off. What a player.

Add that to his utter brilliance and you've got a great player on your hands. So quick witted too. Been an absolute joy from day 1 when he couldn't finish for shit.

WOW. ALL HAIL KING MOMO !!  ;D

36 goals !! Only 11 behind Rushie's total for the 83/84 season. Can he beat that ?

(Salah needs 5 more to beat Rushie's record of 32 league goals (42 games))

On course to beat Shearer and Cole's record of 34 at this rate too. (42 games)

I know the Egyptian King/Sit Down song is boss but here's my tribute again.  ;D

He does it but the instances are few and far between, normally seems to be when he susses early in a game a player is going to try to just grab him instead of trying to outplay him

His combination of strength and balance is exceptional, he has a very strange style of play. The little drags with a hop make me laugh, such an unorthodox way to get an extra yard of space but it works wonders

He's played in 41 of our 44 games this season and only once has he gone more than 2 games in a row without scoring (including the games he didn't play in). Only thrice has he failed to score in multiple games in a row.

Also, within that 3 games scoreless streak he scored a brace for Egypt and sent them to the World Cup.

Just been looking at the Premier League records and he could blow a few of them away.

Not sure how close he is to this one, but can’t be far off
Number of teams scored against in a season: 17, joint record:
20-team league:[73]
Ian Wright (Arsenal, 1996–97)
Robin van Persie (Arsenal, 2011–12)
22-team league:
Andrew Cole (Newcastle United, 1993–94)
Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers, 1994–95)

He needs to score against Palace, Brighton, and WBA to equal this record.

He can only equal it, since he's already failed to score in both legs against United and Swansea this season.
Will the people in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry.

Yet last week with the way Young was riding him I'd say he should have gone down.  I don't think it would have changed anything for Pawson but at least force him to make a decision.

^That's Britos after the first.

It feels so weird to say that he is a better goalscorer than Suarez. 13/14 Suarez was the best thing I've seen in a Liverpool shirt, enigmatic, skillful, and tenacious. Yet Salah just keeps popping it in week in week out. I was certainly more excited to see Suarez play, but if Salah keeps up this level for a couple of seasons, who's to say he isn't the better player...

Nah

Of course he is, Jack,  come on. A goal every 1.48 games since 2013 is elite-level scoring.

His past two seasons have been phenomenal in games per goal. Nearly a goal per game. If Salah is up near Messi and Neymar, then Kane is too.

Here we have Mo beating 5 of them for his third goal.

Salah, Salah.

I was just going to complain a few days back that he does not score hat tricks etc and now he has scored 4 in match. To me he needs to score 5 goals a game in at least 2 matches to win the Ballon d'or (Man City home and Everton away will be nice). Leading Egypt to World Cup win will also be nice.
